Salary: Median total compensation for this role is $158,000 based on experience, training and skills.


As an Account Manager II here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in managing and growing key accounts in the industrial business market. Your expertise in building strong customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities will contribute to revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and the overall success of the company.

You will report directly to our Sales Manager and you'll work out of our Burnaby, BC location on a hybrid work schedule. This role entails regular travel to client sites in the region of Burnaby, BC.

In this multi-vertical business development-focused role, you will leverage your technical knowledge in smart building technology, HVAC/building, security, and fire technology. By effectively managing and growing key accounts in these areas, you will drive revenue growth and contribute to the company's overall financial success. Your ability to build strong relationships with customers, identify new business opportunities, and deliver tailored solutions will enhance customer satisfaction, strengthen the company's market position, and drive long-term business growth.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts in the industrial business market, serving as the primary point of contact for customer relationships
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the industrial business market, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions
  • Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver value-added solutions
  • Lead contract negotiations and ensure customer satisfaction through effective account management
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback in the industrial business market to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous growth
  • Acts as a "quarterback" to enhance the Honeywell-to-customer rapport through facilitating deep and wide personal/professional relationships throughout the customer sales cycle and cross-functionally within both organizations
  • Leads customer through their technological journey by understanding customer requirements and developing the appropriate Honeywell support team to address customer needs

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in account management or sales, with a proven track record of managing key accounts and driving revenue growth within the building automation industry
  • Technical knowledge in smart building technology, HVAC/building, security and fire technology or mechanical solutions)
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
    Successful track-record of consistently exceeding quota-carrying goals
  • Experience in developing new business and building territories within assigned geography
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Bachelor' Degree/ Technical degree in a relevant field
  • Proficiency in applying a consultative selling framework
  • Demonstrated aptitude of selling new reoccurring maintenance SaaS solutions.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of market dynamics in the industrial business market
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with development and implementation of strategic Vertical Territory Management Plans and individual Account / Opportunity Plans

  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
