Tender Leader

Purpose of the job:

Manage external and internal activities during critical tenders. Responsible to define, align and implement the winning strategy to secure new orders for Alstom Service business. Lead all the customer relationship and internal activities during tenders process. Preferred location is Saint-Bruno, but willing to look at other Alstom locations

Key accountabilities:

  • Indirectly supervises varied employees in the Bids & Proposals, and leads the tender
    activities of the team in the delivery of Services bid tender response. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Develops and implements strategic Proposal plans to accommodate corporate goals.
  • Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs and price schedules.
  • Represents Company at client meetings. Delivers presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives.
  • Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
  • Coordinates liaison between Proposal department, Global Services Organization, and other related units.
  • Leads the Proposal activities for the specific tenders assigned by BD Services Head
  • Coordinates with bid teams to create and support project governance documentation and lead all project governance reviews on behalf of the region.
  • Participates in technical reviews with platform and engineering organizations to deliver a best value product solution to our customer
  • Support negotiation of Terms and conditions, particularly in complex contracts (e.g. PPP)
  • Assists other departments within organization to prepare Presentations.
  • Prepares periodic Proposal activity report.
  • Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.
