Major Account Manager

At SMS Equipment , our Major Account Manager will be responsible for selling and promoting SMS Equipment products to major accounts and developing the full potential of all these customers.

The shift for this position is 5x2.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

• Sell equipment and product lines distributed by the company;
• Promote the company's products and services;
• Meet with customers to assess their equipment needs and understand their projects;
• Presents to customers the selling price, terms and conditions of the sales contract, warranties, delivery terms and dates, credit possibilities;
• Drafts sales contracts for approval by the relevant Operations Manager;
• Reports on daily and/or weekly activities;
• Communicates with customers after the sale (after-sales follow-up);
• Ensures up-to-date information on new products and projects;
• Perform after-sales service; courtesy calls and visits;
• Keep up to date on new products and the status of new projects for these customers;
• Comply with current health and safety regulations;

Qualifications :

The successful candidate must have a college degree in business administration or marketing;

Additional requirements include :

• Minimum of 5 years in heavy equipment sales;
• Must be proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong sales and customer service skills;
• Leadership, resourcefulness, organization, autonomy and ability to work under pressure;
• Ability to master computer tools;
• Bilingualism an asset.
