Position Summary:

The National Sales Director-Regions is responsible for leading the Canadian field sales organization, providing leadership and day to day management of the Regional Sales Managers and Inside Sales Supervisors. This individual will be key in developing and implementing sales support strategies and strategic commercial activities that drive productivity, operational excellence, growth, and financial results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner and provide leadership on RSD Canada initiatives including eBusiness, Corporate Accounts, CAS, key regional and local accounts
  • Partner in the management of operational aspects of the business including currency and pricing management, and forecasting
  • Create Field Sales Communication strategy to drive alignment with customers and build partnerships within the field sales teams
  • Ensure the establishment of best practices and standard processes in the areas such as reporting, pricing, positioning, promotion etc.
  • Maintain relationships at senior levels with large customers (or customers with large potential or strategic value) within the Canada region in partnership with National Sales Director-Program Accounts.
  • Work with Unity Lab Services to accelerate our growth

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (in a Science preferred); MBA preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of successful sales leadership experience with working knowledge of customer and commercial influences
  • Passionate about field success/enablement and has a proven record of driving revenue growth through optimizing sales enablement.
  • Demonstrated skills in leadership, strategic selling, and negotiation
  • Knowledge of all facets of the distribution business model to include beneficial services and an understanding of the value we bring to the customers
  • Exceptional business insight to understand financial and profitability levers
  • Strong influencer with a demonstrated ability to develop strong working relationships in a matrixed, global environment and establishing a high level of credibility across functional lines of business
  • Strong leadership with ability to inspire and lead change
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills
  • Travel required (25%)
  • Bilingual preferred
