We are looking for a creative, detailed oriented, and positive individual, with a desire to have an impact on the development of youth. Someone with the ability to grasp concepts quickly and translate them into fresh, current, and youth-friendly material. The ideal candidate enjoys working from a blank canvas and thrives on learning and researching concepts and frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a thorough plan for multiple leadership retreats
  • Facilitate daily retreats' activities such as games, activities, team-building exercises, special events, and educational exhibition-related activities
  • Promptly reports absences to the program manager, maintains ratios and completes headcounts according to the City Camp policies and procedures
  • Prioritize the Seed Leads well-being, safety and protection throughout the retreat
  • Evaluate situations for potential risks to the safety, protection and well-being of the Seed Leads.
  • Proactively take mitigating actions to address risks
  • Prepare and organize program equipment and supplies, reporting any inventory shortages to the program manager
  • Demonstrate the confidence and ability to make decisions independently of peers and in the best interests of the Seed Leads
  • Resolve problems and conflicts effectively as they arise
  • Ensure all participants are aware of upcoming events and schedule changes
  • Organize and assist with set-up and clean-up of retreat events, activities and programs
  • Build positive, constructive relationships with staff and volunteers with the goal of meeting the Seed Leads needs
  • Coach and mentor volunteers and Seed Leads
  • Provide feedback to the program manager through formal assessments
