Our agency vision aligns strategy and creativity to ensure we create strong and meaningful relationships between brands and people. We are looking for Representatives in the region of Ontario.

We are currently seeking to hire an experienced Merchandiser - Sales Representative - who will be able to travel throughout the predesignated region. The successful candidates will play an essential role in promoting our client's mission and vision. These individuals will be responsible for achieving pre-established objectives, and targets as they relate to distribution gains and sales targets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sell /market the products of a well-known, national household food brand.
  • Perform merchandising duties in large/small stores, in the private and commercial sectors.
  • Improve visibility, space, and accessibility of products.
  • Establish good working relationships with customers.
  • On-going daily, weekly, and monthly follow-ups will be required to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Reporting as required
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-3+ years' experience in a merchandising sales-focused role.
  • Strong proven knowledge of customer service, and merchandising in a retail environment (grocery store knowledge and experience are considered an asset)
  • Must possess a valid G driver's license (mandatory) - If selected, applicants will be required to submit a recent driver's abstract.
  • Exclusive full-time access to a reliable vehicle
  • Excellent relationship-building skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
  • Must be at least 18 years old and up.
  • Must reside in the designated area or surrounding area.
  • Comfortable with MS Office (Teams) / Technologically Savvy

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Has the right attitude and aptitude to learn and grow.
  • Has relevant sales and merchandising experience.
  • Has a successful track record for working independently.
  • Can manage a territory efficiently and effectively.
  • Has proven abilities to consistently meet and/or exceed sales targets.
  • Can manage the merchandising portion of the job - some heavy lifting may be required.
  • Has excellent communication skills and is a creative problem solver.
  • Understands the need for and importance of daily reporting and territory updates.
  • Embraces training and coaching as career growth opportunities.
  • Has a reliable vehicle and is willing to use it to service your territory.
  • Must have a Smartphone - use of an app in the work process is involved.
  • Must be good with technology "tech-savvy" and able to complete digital tasks with ease through the designated app and website which includes reporting each shift worked.
  • Must have access to a computer and the internet daily to complete web-based reporting requirements and communication with the management team.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Will be working closely with the Program Lead to meet program objectives and targets.
  • Stay up to date on all promotions affecting sales.
  • Ensure in-store activities support and reflect current product promotions.
  • Implement plan-o-grams and ensure retail compliance.
  • Install and maintain POS materials on shelves and in-store.
  • Ensure products are priced properly.
  • Build positive relationships with retail managers and CSRs.
  • Educate retail staff on product features and benefits.
  • Ensure product inventory min/max levels are managed effectively.
  • Complete all reporting requirements for territory activities daily.
