Key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Builds and maintains a strong partnership with the Financial Advisor by establishing efficient administrative processes and relationship building techniques to ensure portfolio growth and overall work quality.
  • Audits and organizes mutual fund files for accuracy and completeness.
  • Meets with clients assigned to the Financial Advisor to provide seamless, client intimate service. Spots opportunities for these clients and processes or refers accordingly.
  • Uses Client Relationship Management software to maintain client information and communicates any deficiencies to the branch compliance manager or Financial Advisor.
  • Processes client transactions efficiently and accurately, such as transactions related to new accounts, term investments and registered products. Responds to a variety of client requests.
  • Performs administration/input of loans/mortgages, credit reviews, reporting, estates, safekeeping, scheduling, data entry, and any other related tasks to portfolio management.
  • Liaises with other units such as Legal and Lending Services to facilitate prompt, efficient and profitable sales and service.
  • Completes proactive contacts/calls as assigned.
  • Administers and completes all files/documentation necessary for estate accounts administration.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 2 years progressive experience in the Financial Services industry
  • Solid understanding of lending and investment practices and procedures
  • Diploma or Degree in Business Administration an asset
  • Financial Planning courses an asset
  • Mutual fund license is an asset

Pay Transparency

Pay transparency is an important characteristic of our recruitment process and overall BlueShore culture which supports a diverse, equitable and inclusive workforce.

This role is on a salary step program that provides timely recognition of skill development at important intervals. Salaries on this program are reviewed quarterly to reflect progress made. The range of this role is $55,800 - $66,300, plus competitive variable performance bonus. Employment offers are determined by knowledge, experience and internal equity.
