This is a remote position based out of Ottawa, ON or the surrounding area and will require travel to Kananaskis and Alyeska on a semi-regular basis.

The Role:

In this role, you'll play a pivotal role in driving association group bookings and cultivate strong relationships within the industry for two prestigious resorts. Whether promoting the stunning beauty of the Canadian Rockies or the charm of Alaska's mountains, you'll be instrumental in positioning both resorts as premier destinations for association events and gatherings.

As the Association Sales Manager for these iconic properties, you'll leverage your sales expertise to maximize revenue opportunities, exceed targets, and deliver exceptional service to our valued association clients. With a focus on both locations, you'll collaborate closely with resort teams to ensure seamless event execution and create unforgettable experiences for guests. We commit to giving you the training, tools, support and feedback required to be successful; achieving excellence is up to you.

Job duties:

  • Identify new business opportunities and maintain relationships with existing accounts for both resorts with a focus on proactive sales initiatives such as mining accounts, sales calls, hosted familiarization trips, site tours, and tradeshow representation.
  • Develop a robust sales funnel and cultivate long-lasting connections with key decision-makers within the association segment across North America and Internationally.
  • Oversee and execute proactive sales efforts for the hotels, ensuring that all business decisions uphold the highest standards of quality and service excellence.
  • Delivery against key financial goals and performance metrics.

Employment Experience and Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing or equivalent; MBA is a plus.
  • Proven and current experience leading events, sales, or marketing teams.
  • 5 years' experience in sales and marketing, event Management, food & beverage or related professional areas
  • Experience in the hotel/resort and ski industries considered an asset.
  • Advanced computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, PMS etc.
  • Strong understanding of sales and events
  • Strong analytical, planning, forecasting and budget/financial skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Resourcefulness and drive; a natural influencer that will aid our team of high performers
  • Ability to maintain knowledge of policies and market trends of the resort and travel industry.
  • Knowledge of travel industry, current market trends and economic factors.
