Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Broadcast/Production & Audiovisual (AV) Sales Account Manager for our Calgary, AB office.

As a Broadcast/Production & AV Sales Account Manager, your success lies in your determination to capitalize on opportunities and drive AV sales with an entrepreneurial mindset in the Broadcast and Production sector. Your involvement will be pivotal in our continued success as you work closely with clients to deliver high-quality customized AV solutions and provide your expertise in sales and technology.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Development of sales and route-to-market (RTM) strategies to enhance Matrix’s market presence within the Broadcast/Production & AV sector, including but not limited to, live venues, Sports & Entertainment, Virtual Reality, eSports, Post-secondary Broadcast Programs, and other profitable untapped fields.
  • Acquire comprehensive knowledge of Matrix’s brand and solutions to effectively present offered services in a compelling manner to potential prospects and clients.
  • Proudly represent Matrix at industry events to cultivate new business opportunities, while fortifying current relationships and establishing new connections.
  • Marketing and effectively selling Matrix’s innovative AV solutions and specialized knowledge to media industry clients.
  • Consistently observing, reporting, and analyzing AV market conditions to remain updated on industry trends and pinpoint unexplored market opportunities.
  • Research emerging product technologies and examining competitor landscapes to recognize potential pivotal projects and key winning tactics.
  • Successful oversight of client lifecycle management from understanding client needs, developing a customized AV solution plan, and execution of the project.
  • Work with the integration team to implement AV projects while offering project management assistance, crafting detailed plans with clear timelines, and allocating resources.
  • Foster strong client relationships, aiming to establish Matrix as the preferred supplier of audiovisual products and service provider amongst our clientele.
  • Utilize QuoteWerks and Act! effectively to manage quoting and proposals for projects.
  • Driven to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets with tangible outcomes through new business growth.
  • Engage in targeted account outreach, confidently delivering enterprise-level presentations to potential clients, business partners, and industry associations.
  • Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts to drive informed decision-making.


Mandatory Requirements:

  • The applicant must be legally authorized to work in Canada and does not require sponsorship to work.
  • The applicant must reside in Calgary, AB to commute to the operational branch for in-office work.
  • The applicant must have a minimum of 5+ years of AV industry experience in client lifecycle management and direct selling, with a verifiable record of successful sales.


    Job Skill Requirements:

    • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Knowledgeable in Broadcast/Production & AV markets and strong understanding of project and product specifications.
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
    • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude, to deliver superior customer service and relationship building skills when interacting with clients.
    • Self-starter in identifying and cultivating new business opportunities, with a proactive approach to pursuing them. This can range from going into untapped markets or using your network.
    • Self-motivated with outstanding leadership, organizational, multitasking, prioritization, and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

    Working Conditions:

    • Occasional travel necessary for client and on-site project visits.
    • Must hold a valid Class 5 Driver's License with access to a vehicle and maintain safe driving practices.
