We AIM for excellence.Job DescriptionAs a Sales Representative, you will be part of the Sales team, where you will learn the scrap metal industry through hands-on training and mentorship while gradually taking on more responsibility in both office and field activities. You will collaborate with account managers to purchase scrap metal within a defined scope and support business growth by developing and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers. You will work closely with internal teams, customers, and suppliers in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.What you’re responsible for:Assisting and purchasing scrap metal to support tonnage and profitability targets;Visiting dealers and industrial suppliers by phone or in person to promote new and repeat business, provide pricing, customer service, respond to inquiries, handle complaints, and build relationships;Supporting prospecting efforts to identify new customers and opportunities;Developing new contact networks for market insights and pricing trends;Shadowing senior team members to gradually take on negotiation tasks;Supporting profit and loss analysis with training and supervision;Developing knowledge and gaining triage operations knowledge to understand and develop pricing strategies;Coordinating with administrative staff and the sales team to ensure accurate and timely documentation of all purchase transactions.QualificationsTo join our team:You have a College Diploma in Commerce; sales or marketing or equivalent experience;You have 0-3 years or more of experience (experience in recycling, metals, or industrial sales is a plus);You have a valid Class 5 driver's license;You have excellent math, problem-solving and negotiation skills;You are bilingual (French/English);You have strong results analysis skills.Additional InformationWhat we offer!A competitive wage, vacation, benefits and a RRSP matching program Annual AIM tuition scholarship program up to $8,500 per eligible dependents The tools and support needed to be successful in your career and professional development A dynamic & rewarding work environment that is also a lot of fun!
