Job summary
The Role We're hiring a B2B Sales Manager to drive enterprise and API adoption of Viggle's four product lines — Viggle Video, 3D Character, Mocap, and Text-to-Motion — within the gaming and interactive entertainment industry. This is a hands-on, full-cycle sales role: you'll own prospecting, pipeline building, deal negotiation, and closing with game studios, publishers, content platforms, and developer teams. We care less about whether you've sold into gaming before and more about whether you can build a market from nothing — you generate your own pipeline, you don't wait for leads, and you treat rejection as data, not a setback. You'll be Viggle's founding sales presence in the US market and a key voice feeding market insight back into our product roadmap. Responsibilities Own the full B2B sales cycle — from prospecting and qualification to demos, negotiation, and closing — for Viggle's four API product lines: Viggle Video, 3D Character, Mocap, and Text-to-Motion. Build and manage a pipeline of game studios, publishers, content platforms, animation studios, and developer teams across the US market, primarily through self-sourced outbound. Drive API adoption: work with prospects' technical teams on integration evaluation, proof-of-concepts, and usage-based commercial structures. Develop deep product knowledge and deliver compelling technical and API demos in partnership with our product and engineering teams — you don't need to arrive knowing the product, but you do need to learn it fast. Understand client production pipelines (game engines, animation workflows, content platforms) and translate their pain points into solution proposals. Negotiate enterprise agreements, API pricing, and licensing terms; coordinate with internal legal and finance teams on contracting. Represent Viggle at industry events, conferences, and trade shows (e.g., GDC, SIGGRAPH) to build brand presence and generate leads. Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and pipeline reporting for leadership. Gather and relay market intelligence, competitive insights, and customer feedback to inform product and go-to-market strategy. Who You Are Required Experience A demonstrated ability to self-generate pipeline or opportunities from cold outreach — we care far more about your ability to hunt than the number of years on your resume. New grads are welcome here :) A track record of consistently meeting or exceeding quota, ideally in a role where a meaningful share of comp was variable/commission-based. Experience running the full sales cycle independently — prospecting, demoing, negotiating, and closing — without heavy hand-holding or inbound support. Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable presenting to executives, product leaders, and technical stakeholders. A demonstrated ability to learn a new, technical product or unfamiliar industry quickly and become credible in it. Self-starter who thrives in a fast-moving startup environment with minimal supervision. Based in our Toronto office and able to travel occasionally in the United States; authorized to work in Canada. Strong Signals You've operated in a high-accountability, high-rejection environment before — commission-only sales, door-to-door or B2C canvassing, competitive athletics at a high level, structured military or first-responder service, or another pursuit that required daily discipline and the ability to keep showing up after being told no. A high percentage of your historical pipeline was self-sourced/cold outbound rather than inbound or marketing-generated — you can speak to specific numbers here. Experience selling technical products — APIs, SaaS, middleware, developer tools, or content solutions — to technical and creative buyers, or a clear, credible plan for how you'd get there fast. Existing network of relationships with game studios, publishers, content platforms, or 3D/animation production teams (a genuine plus, not a requirement). Familiarity with AI-powered video and motion generation tools and the emerging AI + gaming landscape. Ability to speak credibly about API integration concepts (endpoints, rate limits, usage metering) with technical buyers, or fast aptitude for picking this up. Experience at an early-stage startup, building sales processes and playbooks from scratch. A personal system for staying disciplined and consistent — whatever that looks like for you. You Are A hunter — you generate your own pipeline and don't wait for leads to come to you. Resilient — rejection doesn't slow you down; you've built habits that keep you consistent under pressure. Consultative — you sell by understanding the client's production challenges, not by pushing features. A fast learner — you can walk into an unfamiliar domain and earn credibility quickly. Organized and data-driven — you run a disciplined pipeline and forecast accurately. Low ego, high output — you care about results more than recognition. Why This Role Sell AI video and motion APIs at the frontier of AI and gaming — a market moving faster than any in entertainment technology. Own a market: you'll be the founding sales presence for Viggle in the US, with direct access to leadership. Shape go-to-market strategy, pricing, and playbooks from the ground up. Compensation & Career Development Competitive base salary plus uncapped 15%-20% commission with accelerators above quota — your earnings scale directly with the deals you close. Group benefits, including dental, massage therapy, and physiotherapy coverage. Two weeks of paid vacation to start. A real path into sales leadership as we scale the US team — join early and help build it from the ground up, not slot into an existing structure.
