About the position: Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Account Manager has overall responsibility for all accounts assigned within a geographic area (Fort St John and surrounding area) to grow profit for Univar’s market share using consultative selling process. The successful candidate identifies and captures new business opportunities at existing accounts and prospective new accounts. What you will get: * Comprehensive, fully paid training and development programs, available at all levels to support your career progression * Career advancement opportunities, allowing you to build a long-term career within the organization * Education assistance to encourage continuous learning and skills development * Comprehensive benefits package, including: * Employer-paid medical and dental insurance * Maternity and paternity leave * Competitive compensation including base salary, quarterly uncapped bonus program, and company vehicle * Pension plan with matching employer contributions * Access to employee resource networks that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across the organization What you’ll do: • Proactively plan customer visits 1-2 weeks in advance. • Call on established and prospective customers to sell company products and services. • Grow our industrial footprint within Fort St John and surrounding areas. • Maintain a high-integrity sampling program for key customers. • Co-ordinate with Customer Service and Operations to maintain customer service levels and ensure resolution of complaints. • Co-ordinate with Purchasing department to ensure availability of product. • Utilize Salesforce.com to manage customer information during all planning phases. • Out of town travel is expected. • Other tasks as assigned. What we would like from you: • Minimum of 2-3 years previous sales and/or customer facing experience • Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in Technical Science, Chemistry, Business, or similar • Chemical sales experience is an asset • Effective and engaging communication skills • Self-motivated and eager mentality • Ability to relate to, and communicate with individuals at all levels Pay and Benefits: The annual expected salary range for this position is $80,000 - 95,000 plus an additional Nortern Living Allowance payment. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
