Job summary

The Account Manager will be a first contact and front line interface between the Toromont team and our customers for the sale of new generators and related equipment. He will provide exceptional customer service and position Toromont CAT in the marketplace as a premiere supplier and partner to our customers. He will manage customer relationships and engage the internal team as required for the development and execution of the business. Pay Type Full Time, Permanent Compensation Commissioned The listed target compensation includes commissions and other variable pay components and reflects expected annual earnings. As an Account Manager – Electric Power, YOU will experience: * Working within one of the safest organizations in the industry where your safety and well-being are our most important priority * Working for the best in class equipment dealer and with the premium Caterpillar brand * Opportunities to continuously Learn, Grow and Develop with our Toromont team through our internal Training teams that are geared for your success * Competitive total rewards including: wages, benefits, and premiums (as eligible) * An opportunity for flexible work schedules and opportunities across multiple locations across Eastern Canada In a typical day, YOU will: * Adhere to and live the Toromont Health and Safety values and culture, embody and promote Health and Safety best practices during Customer visits * Follow up on customer requests for quotes, providing trusted advisor services for the complete Electric Power line of products * Develop response and prepare quotes, technical submissions, etc. * Develop and maintain relationships with consultants, electrical contractors and end-users, generating new opportunities for Power Systems Division Electric Power line of products * Utilize available CRM tools and data to target specific customers and markets * Develop a territory plan for the year, to be reviewed and updated on a monthly basis * Complete quarterly reviews of strategic territory plan with Management, reporting on progress to achieve KPI’s * Complete administrative portion of the role including but not limited to, the Week Ahead Planner (WAP), Saleslink, iMACS, and Quotelog, to ensure good record keeping and providing enough information to allow management to make good business decisions Must-haves for this role: * Diploma of College Studies or Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering combined with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales * Knowledge of the electric power market in Quebec is preferred * Bilingualism French/English (written and spoken) * Customer service oriented with sales and planning skills * Availability to travel occasionally within Quebec and Ontario * Ability and willingness to plan and prepare, ability to develop rapport and relationships * Excellent communication skills, curiosity, good questioning and listening, ability to overcome resistance and gain commitment About Toromont Cat Power Systems Toromont Cat Power Systems is an industry leader in the supply and integration of backup and prime power generation systems, rental generators, marine engines and industrial engines through customized engineering and packaging. Requirements

Requires a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering and at least 5 years of sales experience. Must be bilingual in French and English with a willingness to travel within Quebec and Ontario.
