(www.siriuspersonnel.com) Profile: Our client is a reputable organization operating within the construction and building materials industry and is seeking a driven Territory Sales Representative to support the continued growth of its business. This is a field-based sales role responsible for developing new customer accounts, strengthening relationships with existing clients, and identifying opportunities to expand business throughout the assigned territory. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working directly with customers, proactively prospecting for new business, and leveraging their knowledge and network within the construction and building materials sector to uncover new opportunities. The successful candidate will be highly self-motivated, relationship-oriented, and capable of managing their territory independently while taking full ownership of their sales pipeline and results. This opportunity is well suited to someone who enjoys being out in the field, developing long-term business relationships, and contributing directly to revenue growth. Territory: Province of Québec Workplace: Home office + road Products/Services: building materials Salary: Base $60,000-$65,000 Commissions/Bonus: $21,000, 100% of plan Uncapped commissions. Car allowance: Company car OR KM reimbursed Expense’s reimbursement: All reasonable expenses will be reimbursed. Other Benefits: Group insurance and extended health benefits after 3 months Vacation 3 weeks Functions: Grow revenue within an assigned territory by identifying and pursuing new commercial opportunities. Build a consistent pipeline through cold calling, networking, referrals, industry contacts, site visits, and other prospecting methods. Establish productive relationships with contractors, businesses, and other industry professionals. Meet with prospective and current customers to understand their projects, requirements, budgets, and purchasing needs. Recommend appropriate products and solutions based on customer requirements. Prepare and follow up on quotations, leads, inquiries, and pending opportunities. Maintain regular contact with existing accounts and look for ways to increase their purchasing activity. Develop territory plans and organize customer visits efficiently. Work toward established revenue, margin, and profitability objectives. Keep CRM information, customer records, and sales activity up to date. Research market conditions and identify emerging opportunities, customer trends, and competitive activity. Work collaboratively with internal sales and support teams to ensure orders and customer requests are handled effectively. Provide professional service throughout the sales cycle and help resolve customer concerns when necessary. Attend customer meetings, product presentations, industry events, trade shows, or demonstrations as required. Contribute ideas and initiatives that support territory expansion and overall business growth. Requirements: Development vs Maintenance: 60% vs 40% Road vs Office: 80% vs 20% Languages: Fluent in French and English Education: Post-secondary education Training: On the job training Overnight Travel: No overnight travel required, regular travel within the assigned territory Years of experience: A minimum of 3 years in a similar role with a proven track record Other requirements: Previous experience in outside sales, B2B sales, territory development, business development, or account management. Experience selling within the construction, flooring, tile, building materials, or related industries is strongly preferred. A proven ability to prospect for new customers and turn opportunities into sales. Strong relationship-building and communication abilities. Confident negotiation and presentation skills. A commercially minded approach with a focus on achieving measurable results. Self-directed and comfortable managing a territory without constant supervision. Excellent organization and time-management skills. Comfortable making outbound calls and initiating conversations with potential clients. Ability to identify customer needs and translate them into appropriate product or service recommendations. Basic proficiency with CRM platforms, email, spreadsheets, and standard office technology. Transferable contacts: Established relationships with building material retailers, contractors, or other professionals within the construction industry. Transferable Knowledge: Knowledge of the construction or building material industry
