Company Description Manufacturers Automation (ManuAuto) is a Canadian distributor of industrial automation, control, and electrical products. We're growing and looking for a driven field sales rep to build relationships with manufacturers across Southwestern Ontario. Role Description This full-time Outside Sales Representative, Industrial Automation & Electrical role is a field-based position covering the Greater Kitchener-Cambridge-Waterloo region and surrounding Southwestern Ontario, based out of our St. Jacobs office. The representative will be on the road 3-4 days a week, identifying and pursuing new business and visiting industrial and manufacturing customers to present ManuAuto's automation, control, and electrical solutions in person. The role covers the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, including technical sales presentations, preparing quotations, and following up on leads and opportunities. Day to day, you'll build and maintain strong customer relationships, provide responsive service, and work with our internal team to develop tailored solutions. You'll also stay current with Industry 4.0 trends, attend industry events, and share market feedback to help shape our offering. Qualifications Ability to deliver effective sales presentations and product demonstrations, and communicate technical concepts clearly and confidently to diverse stakeholders Excellent verbal and written English, including active listening and professional follow-up, you'll be presenting to technical buyers and plant staff in person daily Strong relationship-building and customer service skills, with a focus on long-term partnerships and client satisfaction Experience in new business development, including prospecting, territory management, and pipeline growth Knowledge of industrial automation and electrical components; prior experience in B2B technical field sales is a strong asset and means a shorter learning curve Comfortable managing a field territory, organized and self-directed, with the ability to plan and prioritize regular onsite customer visits Strong organizational, time-management, and CRM skills, with a data-driven approach to tracking activities and results Valid Ontario driver's licence and a reliable vehicle, with willingness to travel across the Greater Kitchener-Cambridge-Waterloo area and surrounding regions Post-secondary education in engineering, technology, business, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant experience
