This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Diagnostic Sales Specialist based in Canada. This is an opportunity to drive the adoption of innovative diagnostic solutions across Eastern Canada, serving veterinary practices, research centers, and government institutions. You will act as a trusted consultant, understanding customer needs and translating them into tailored diagnostic solutions. The role combines strategic B2B sales, consultative selling, account development, and territory management. You will manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and opportunity development through negotiation, contracting, and customer retention. Success will be measured through new business growth, analyzer placements, consumable utilization, and long-term customer relationships. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams while working with a high degree of autonomy across a broad territory. The ideal candidate is based in the Montreal area and is motivated by combining commercial impact with meaningful work in animal health. Accountabilities Lead customer acquisition efforts through prospecting, consultative selling, and the development of tailored proposals that address veterinary and diagnostic needs. Manage the complete sales cycle for diagnostic equipment, from lead generation and qualification through negotiation, contracting, and closing. Build and maintain long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with key customers, strengthening loyalty, trust, and ongoing business growth. Grow diagnostic equipment placements and consumable utilization by identifying opportunities within high-value accounts and understanding evolving customer requirements. Manage and maintain an opportunity pipeline, ensuring prospects are efficiently converted into customers and supported throughout their relationship. Negotiate commercial agreements and adapt proposals and contracts to meet customer needs while maintaining appropriate business and compliance standards. Conduct regular business reviews with customers to assess performance, identify improvement opportunities, and reinforce strategic partnerships. Monitor products, services, pricing, competitors, and market trends to maintain strong market and portfolio expertise. Manage territory activities and expenses effectively, working collaboratively with sales, technical support, veterinary services, and other internal functions. Coordinate the timely and accurate onboarding of new customers while maintaining a high standard of professionalism, integrity, and compliance. Requirements Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a scientific or business-related discipline. 5+ years of relevant professional experience, with demonstrated sales experience required. Proven B2B sales experience in a corporate environment, ideally within diagnostics, medical devices, capital equipment, healthcare, laboratory services, or contractual sales. Experience or knowledge in veterinary medicine, nursing, laboratory science, or another medical field is strongly preferred. Strong consultative and solution-selling capabilities, with experience managing complex sales cycles and strategic accounts. Excellent presentation, communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills. Strong business acumen and financial analysis capabilities, including the ability to manage budgets and expenses effectively. Strong understanding of medical or diagnostic concepts and the ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers. Strategic, proactive, growth-oriented mindset with a strong drive for results and excellence. Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and perform effectively under tight deadlines. Fluent French and English, both spoken and written, with strong English proficiency required for communication with clients and colleagues outside Quebec. Ability to produce high-quality professional documentation and presentations in English. Willingness and ability to manage a territory covering Quebec, Ottawa, and the Atlantic provinces; the preferred location is the Montreal area. Requirements
