Senior Client Success Manager Toronto, ON — Hybrid (2–3 days in office) Role Overview A Toronto-based fully integrated digital marketing agency (~50 employees, 100+ active SMB clients) is seeking its first dedicated Senior Client Success Manager. Operating for over 25 years, the company serves clients primarily in retail, home services, legal, and medical verticals with a full-service offering spanning SEO, paid media, creative, programmatic, web development, CRO, marketing automation, and email. This hire creates a dedicated, senior client-facing role. The new CSM will inherit an existing portfolio of SMB accounts, own those relationships end-to-end, and be responsible for retention and growth. No people management is required at outset, with a path to build a team as the company grows. Compensation Base: $70,000 – $90,000 OTE: $120,000 – $130,000 (performance bonus tied to account growth KPIs) What You'll Do Own a portfolio of SMB accounts as the singular point of contact — accountable for retention, satisfaction, and growth Guide internal specialists and translate campaign performance into strategic client conversations Drive upsell and cross-sell as a primary KPI — this is a growth role, not a passive relationship management role Build structure in a function being formalized for the first time What We're Looking For 5+ years in a senior client-facing role at a digital marketing or performance agency — non-negotiable Proven track record managing multiple SMB or mid-market accounts simultaneously in a fast-paced agency environment Direct working knowledge of Google Ads (Search, Display, PMax), programmatic/DV360, paid social (Meta, LinkedIn), SEO, performance creative, and marketing automation Demonstrated history of driving account expansion through upsell/cross-sell Exceptional client communication — written and verbal; comfortable running senior stakeholder presentations HubSpot CRM proficiency; familiarity with Monday.com or Asana Nice to Have Performance creative strategy experience Marketing automation platforms (Klaviyo, HubSpot, Mailchimp) Google Ads or Meta Blueprint certifications Experience in e-commerce, legal, consumer products, or high-competition verticals What to Avoid Applying If: You're a channel specialist (paid media manager, SEO specialist) without relationship management history Your expertise is limited to one or two channels Your approach to account management is reactive rather than proactive
