About the role
The Opportunity The Client Strategy Director is a role that brings the trusted advisory capability that moves Robosoft's client relationships from reactive delivery to strategic partnership. This role sits at the intersection of pre-sales, strategic advisory, and account growth. You will lead the strategic dimension of client conversations, shaping how Robosoft frames opportunities, building technology and experience roadmaps, and ensuring that every engagement starts with the right strategic foundation.
The right person for this role has experience in management consulting or a digital product consultancy, and found that the part they loved most was helping clients see something they hadn't seen before. You know how to run a discovery workshop, how to present a technology roadmap at board level, and how to build the kind of trust that means clients bring you their problems before they've become RFPs.
What You Will Do Client Advisory Lead strategic conversations with client stakeholders at C-suite and VP level, bringing a clear point of view on technology direction, experience strategy, and the role of AI. Build technology and experience roadmaps that extend the client relationship beyond the current scope of work. Challenge clients' assumptions, surface unstated needs, and help them articulate a vision that Robosoft can credibly deliver. Act as a trusted advisor across a portfolio of accounts — the person clients call before they write the brief.
Pre-sales and Solutioning Own the strategic component of the pre-sales process, ensuring that proposals are grounded in a clear strategic narrative rather than just a delivery plan. Work with vertical leads, the AI Lead, and the Design and Product Lead to assemble the right team and narrative for each opportunity. Facilitate discovery workshops and strategic briefings that accelerate client decision-making and reduce time-to-engagement. Define how Robosoft positions engagements strategically (moving conversations from staff augmentation towards outcome-based and advisory models).
Account Growth and Revenue Maintain revenue accountability across a portfolio of accounts, tracking commercial progress and identifying expansion opportunities. Connect ongoing delivery milestones to the next strategic conversation, ensuring that every project creates the conditions for the next one. Identify where Robosoft is losing ground to strategic competitors and develop responses that close the gap.
Cross-functional Coordination Coordinate the internal team for each client opportunity, briefing the relevant vertical lead, capability leads, and delivery teams on the strategic context and client priorities. Contribute to Robosoft's go-to-market thinking, helping refine how the company positions itself across verticals and capability areas.
Who You Are Strategically grounded: You bring frameworks and structure to ambiguous client problems. Clients trust your recommendations because they are reasoned, evidence-based, and clearly connected to business outcomes. Commercially sharp: You understand that great consulting without commercial output is just a conversation. You are wired to connect strategic thinking to revenue, and you track your pipeline with the same discipline as a senior account executive. Confidently flexible: You know when to lead with the AI story, when to lead with experience design, and when to bring in the technology depth. You build the right narrative for the room, not the one you are most comfortable with. Trusted by clients: You build relationships that outlast individual projects. Clients bring you problems before they have become briefs because they trust that your thinking will make their problems smaller, not bigger. Present and mobile: You understand that being physically present with senior clients is not optional at this level. You travel at short notice and treat proximity to clients as a material competitive advantage.
Leadership Expectations Own revenue accountability across a defined portfolio of accounts, from first engagement through to ongoing expansion. Define how Robosoft sells strategically across the US go-to-market team and embed it across sales, solutioning, and delivery handoffs. Represent Robosoft at the most senior level in client conversations, industry forums, and proposal presentations. Shape the company's positioning in key capability areas, including AI transformation, experience-led engineering, and digital product strategy. Influence hiring for consulting and solutioning roles as the practice scales.
What You Bring Required Experience 12 to 18 years of experience in management consulting, digital product consultancy, or pre-sales advisory, with a track record of driving revenue growth within complex client accounts. Experience leading strategic conversations at C-suite and VP level, including facilitating workshops, presenting roadmaps, and navigating multi-stakeholder decision-making. Demonstrable track record of moving client relationships from transactional delivery towards trusted advisory, with clear commercial outcomes. Experience operating within a software services or technology delivery context, with an understanding of how consulting and delivery functions interact.
Technical Skills Digital product strategy and technology roadmapping, the ability to translate business objectives into a structured technology investment narrative. Working knowledge of how AI is being applied in enterprise digital transformation, including where it accelerates delivery and where it changes the client conversation. (good to have) Familiarity with software services engagement models (fixed price, time and materials, outcome-based), and how to position each in a client conversation. (good to have)
Additional Skills Executive presence and storytelling, the ability to hold a room at the most senior level and present complex ideas with clarity and conviction. Ability to synthesise across AI, design, and technology to build a coherent client narrative. Experience managing multi-stakeholder account relationships across both the client side and internal delivery teams.
Core Skills Strategic Sales: pre-sales leadership, discovery facilitation, roadmap development, proposal narrative. Strategic Advisory: technology vision, experience strategy, outcome-based framing, trusted advisor relationships. Account Management: revenue accountability, pipeline management, expansion identification, client retention. Cross-functional Leadership: team assembly, internal briefing, go-to-market alignment across capability leads.
Preferred / Good to Have Background at a top-tier management consultancy or strategic advisory firm. Experience in one or more of Robosoft's key verticals (media and entertainment, mobility, or travel and tourism). Familiarity with AI-led business transformation frameworks and how to connect AI investment to measurable business outcomes. Existing relationships with digital and technology decision-makers at major US enterprises.
