Asia Programs Officer - Job Reference # 202605-04
DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Director of Marketing Communications and Recruitment, the Asia Programs Officer (APO) acts as an external representative of the College both nationally and internationally, and must publicly project an image which reflects the College’s philosophy, mission and values by;

Developing and implementing recruitment plans for Asia that encompasses the complete recruitment cycle – from prospect identification, relationship building, application, conversation, and enrolment – in consultation with the Director of Marketing, Communications and Recruitment.

Participating both nationally and internationally in a range of recruitment events.

Research and relationship building/ maintaining of agent networks, guidance counselors, principals, alumni, and other recruitment pipelines.

Being the primary contact with our Asian university partners in order to facilitate the ongoing needs and concerns of both parties.

Organizing any missions/ delegations/ visits of King’s personnel to Asia.

Identifying other programs and partnerships such as potential new university partners, high schools and agents as well as the development of English for Academic Purposes and summer international programs.

Bringing extensive knowledge and experience of the Asian and Canadian education systems, and curriculum (Excellent presentation and writing skills with fluency in Mandarin and English is required.)

Being competent in social media for both continents.

Having experience in advising students particularly in admissions and experience in communicating with a variety of constituents is necessary.

Traveling extensively in Asia and may spend up to six months a year outside of Canada.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will have:

A Bachelor’s Degree (preferably from King’s University College).

3-5 years of previous work experience in a similar role.

Preference for a graduate of King’s, and ideally a graduate of a 2+2 program with an Asian university partner

Strong academic record, and extensive knowledge of King’s and the degree programs offered.

Outstanding interpersonal, intercultural, communication, presentation and organizational skills.

Ability and willingness to travel extensively.

Strong research, critical thinking and decision-making skills.

Must be fluent in English and Mandarin.

Graduate of Chinese and Canadian education system preferred
TYPE OF JOB:
Full-Time Permanent - 35 hours per week
EFFECTIVE DATE:
As soon as possible
SALARY RANGE:
PSG 14 - $78,572 - $98,383 per annum, dependent on experience
