Role Description This full-time remote role, Technical Sales Professional on the Western Canada sales team, focuses on developing and managing customer relationships within the regional power and related industrial markets. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting market and customer research, identifying new opportunities, and promoting severe-service valve and actuation solutions that align with customer needs and sustainability goals. The role involves providing technical and commercial support, understanding customer needs, and coordinating with internal technical and service teams to ensure accurate product selection and reliable delivery. The Technical Sales Professional will engage in regular communication with customers through virtual meetings and site visits as required, deliver presentations and product demonstrations, and support training initiatives. The position also includes ongoing follow-up, customer service, and performance monitoring to help clients improve reliability, safety, efficiency, and emissions performance. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Market Analysis and Market Research skills to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive dynamics in the Western Canada power market. Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret data, evaluate technical and commercial options, and support informed decision-making for customers and internal teams. Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication, presentation abilities, and effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders. Candidates should possess robust Customer Service skills to build trusted relationships, respond promptly to inquiries, and provide solution-focused support throughout the sales cycle. Relevant experience in industrial or power generation markets, particularly with valves, actuation, or engineered process equipment, is highly beneficial. Post-secondary education in engineering, technical disciplines, business, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience, is an asset. Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage territory activities, and travel within Western Canada as needed. Comfort with CRM tools, digital collaboration platforms, and standard office software to manage accounts, forecasts, and reporting.
