Overview:

Reporting to the Development Manager, Corporate Relations, you have a strong sales background and are someone who enjoys the thrill of developing strategies and programs that will be attractive to new corporate partners. You have a proven track record of securing gifts at the $10K+ level. You excel at growing revenue from existing and new corporate partners by aligning corporate goals and interest to those of Covenant House Toronto. You enjoy working across departments to identify opportunities that will maximize support for Covenant House Toronto properties and programs. You are adept at developing tailored proposals that resonate with potential corporate partners.

We are currently recruiting for 1 Full-time, Permanent Associate Manager, Corporate Relations. This is a replacement position within the organization.

Responsibilities:

Planning and Budgeting 5%

Helps support development of annual plans and budgets to support strategic vision for the department Reports on plan results, helps develop alternate plans to address business conditions or requirements Collaborates with internal departments to understand and create opportunities for corporate partnerships

Donor Acquisition/Donor Management 40%

Maintains portfolio of 150 donors and manages relationships to facilitate on-going donations Average donor ask size ~$10K Directly solicits donations, including upgrades and multiple year commitments Ensures timely and accurate maintenance of all gift, solicitation and donor information in the Raiser’s Edge database Facilitates gift agreements

Donor Stewardship 20%

Ensures that donors and prospects are stewarded in accordance with organizational recognition program and/or the program identified in the proposal/agreement. Supports the development and the execution of the donor agreement Collaborates with the Stewardship Manager to create recognition and engagement plans that are aligned with partnership agreements and growth objectives

Administrative and Volunteer Support 35%

Work to support Manager Corporate Relations with day to day administrative tasks Work with Corporate donors to set up and secure volunteer opportunities within Covenant House as needed (as per outlined volunteer approach) Host and lead corporate donors on tours of Covenant House and facilitate all Lunch and Learn programs Other additional duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience:

2+ years’ experience in fundraising or related area (corporate social responsibility, cause marketing/sponsorships, sales) Demonstrated success in achieving fundraising/sales targets and deadlines within established budgets Demonstrated success in securing multi-year financial gifts from new partners and in upgrading and renewing existing donor commitments Proven track record in developing, writing and presenting compelling partnership proposals University or College degree or equivalent work experience Experience with the Raiser’s Edge module or similar CRM data base an asset Proficient in Microsoft Office Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle an asset
