THE ROLE
Our recruitment team is currently working with one of the leading distributors in Canada. Recognized as one of the Top 100 Best Employers, our client continues to face constant growth, with multiple locations across North America. The Surrey branch is currently seeking an Inside Sales Representative to become an Outside Sales Representative in the near future, working fully on-site with shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday to Friday. Excel proficiency is desired, and with direct distribution, mining, steel, industrial, construction, or fabricating experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
Achieve territory business objectives, including sales goals and growth targets. Develop, implement, and execute a comprehensive territory business plan. Prospect and cold call to establish new customer relationships and generate additional business. Maintain and strengthen partnerships with existing customers while building long-term relationships with new clients. Maintain a thorough knowledge of products and their applications. Provide support to the inside sales team as needed. Actively pursue opportunities to position the company's products and services in the market. Promote and maintain strong customer relationships by addressing inquiries, fulfilling customer needs, and resolving issues effectively. Collaborate with sales and administrative teams to prepare proposals, create quotes, and process customer orders. Utilize a consultative sales approach to enhance customer relationships in all aspects, including product recommendations and support.
Requirements
Strong communication skills, both oral and written. Previous sales experience in a related industry. Strong problem-solving, sales, computing, organizational, and team-oriented skills. Great time management skills. Multi-tasker and goal-oriented personality. Access to own vehicle.
Compensation
$58,000 to $65,000 Opportunities for growth. Vacation after probation. Discretionary annual bonus. RSP Contribution of 4% Benefits paid 100% by the employer. Medical coverage.
