Acadia Broadcasting is looking for a Media Consultant to join our Thunder Bay team and represent our local brands: 99.9 The Bay, Country 105, RoundTable, and our recently launched community portal—a new platform that’s already making waves in the region.

 

In this role, you’ll help local businesses grow using radio and digital advertising solutions that actually make sense for them—not the cookie‑cutter stuff. Think creative problem‑solving, real‑world strategy, and campaigns that feel like they were built by someone who actually listened.

 

Your success will come from:

 

  • Finding new business opportunities and building partnerships that support both your clients and the community 

  • Building and maintaining strong, long‑term relationships with clients - being the trusted person they call with ideas and questions 

  • Creating smart, tailored marketing solutions that match each client’s goals (and budget) 

  • Working flexibly—some days in the office, some at home, some on the road meeting clients 

  • Keeping your accounts organized, including accurate and timely processing of account receivables

  • Bringing a self‑starter mindset, staying on top of details while juggling multiple projects

 

What we are looking for:

 

  • Are friendly, engaging, and genuinely enjoy meeting new people

  • Have experience in marketing, media, and/or digital sales (an asset, but not a deal‑breaker)

  • Can stay organized in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple priorities at once

  • Have a competitive spirit and like seeing your effort turn into real results

  • Are comfortable with tech and social media, including platforms like LinkedIn

  • Have post‑secondary education in sales or marketing (an asset, not a must‑have)

  • Hold a valid driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle (required)

 

Please note: This is a hybrid position, and we do expect the successful candidate to live in the Thunder Bay Area.

 

What you will receive:

 

  • A guaranteed salary of $40,000 plus the ability to grow your income through our uncapped commission structure
