As Sales Manager, you'll lead a team of sales professionals, support their success in the field, strengthen customer relationships, and ensure consistent execution of Union Tractor's sales objectives. Position Overview Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Sales Manager is responsible for the day-to-day leadership, coaching, and performance management of the sales team. This role focuses on executing the company's sales initiatives, supporting sales representatives in the field, and helping the team achieve revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction goals. The successful candidate is an approachable leader who enjoys coaching, solving problems, removing obstacles for the team, and building strong relationships with both employees and customers. What You'll Be Responsible For Sales Team Leadership Lead, coach, and support the sales team to achieve individual and team sales objectives. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, ride-alongs, and field coaching to develop sales skills and improve performance. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and customer-first service. Monitor individual performance, establish development goals, and recognize success while addressing performance concerns when necessary. Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, and developing new sales representatives. Sales Execution Support the implementation of sales initiatives established by the Director of Sales. Monitor sales activity, customer engagement, pipeline health, and territory performance. Work with sales representatives to prioritize opportunities, resolve challenges, and maximize customer growth. Review quotes, pricing, and significant opportunities while providing guidance throughout the sales process. Ensure CRM activities, forecasting, and customer information remain accurate and up to date. Customer Relationships Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers while supporting the sales team in managing strategic accounts. Assist in resolving customer concerns and collaborate with operations, service, and parts teams to deliver outstanding customer experiences. Participate in customer visits, industry events, and business development opportunities as required. Team Collaboration Partner closely with the Director of Sales to communicate market feedback, sales trends, and team performance. Work collaboratively with Operations, Service, Parts, and Product Support to ensure customer commitments are delivered successfully. Encourage communication across departments to improve customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. What We're Looking For Five or more years of sales experience within the heavy equipment, construction, mining, agriculture, or industrial equipment industries. Previous experience leading, coaching, or mentoring a sales team. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop employees. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and conflict-resolution skills. Experience managing customer relationships and supporting complex sales opportunities. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Mechanical aptitude and a working knowledge of heavy equipment parts, service, and equipment. Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office. Post-secondary education in Business or a related field is considered an asset. Why Join Union Tractor?
