How You’ll Contribute

As our SDR Team Lead, you'll be the execution engine behind our team of 9 Sales Development Representatives who prospect senior executives at Fortune 1000 companies for our Board communities. Our Sales Lead sets strategic direction, owns coaching development, and drives cross-functional strategy. You own the daily execution and adoption accountability across the team; running our top-of-funnel motion; and carrying a meaningful personal outbound target of 12 briefs per month yourself. If you like being on the floor, on the phones, and in the details — this role is for you.

The SDR Team Lead owns:

  • Daily execution and enforcement of decided plays
  • Adoption of new processes, messaging cycles, and segmentation across the team
  • Cadence performance monitoring and iteration, in conjunction with Sales Management
  • Personal outbound production (12+ briefs per month)
  • Tech stack operations and hygiene

Requirements:

  • Serve as the execution engine for the SDR team of ~12 — own daily rollout, adoption, and enforcement of the processes, messaging, and segmentation set by Sales leadership
  • Ensure the team executes what's been decided: cadence discipline, messaging fidelity, activity standards, and brief-quality expectations
  • Ensure adoption of new plays as they’re introduced: new cadences, messaging, resourcing, etc.
  • Perform meaningful personal outbound of 12+ self-sourced briefs per month
  • Monitor SDR team KPIs and individual attainment; reinforce direction with day-to-day feedback on the floor and surface performance observations to Sales Management
  • Along with SDR Manager, manage the sales enablement tech stack: Salesloft cadences, Orum call workflows, ZoomInfo/Sales Nav/Clay list operations, and Salesforce hygiene
  • Partner with Account Executives on brief quality and warm handoff standards
  • Maintain a deep understanding of our target personas and their needs across each Board community
  • Contribute to hiring pipeline for future SDR classes — screening and interview support
  • Provide reporting on team data as needed

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years as a top-performing SDR, with at least one year averaging 110%+ quota attainment
  • Operationally-minded — takes an idea from decided to executed across a team; comfortable holding peers accountable to standards
  • Demonstrated formal or informal leadership — mentoring newer SDRs, running peer trainings, owning team initiatives, or serving as the senior IC others learn from
  • Instinct for tactical, in-the-moment coaching that reinforces direction — can help a struggling SDR diagnose and fix a specific behavior
  • Hands-on experience with Salesloft (or comparable sales engagement platform), Orum (or comparable parallel dialer), and Salesforce
  • Strong understanding of ICP, market segmentation, and sales motion alignment
  • Comfort with metrics: you read dashboards, run funnel math, and can tell the story behind the numbers
  • Excellent written communication — you'll be reviewing outbound copy frequently
  • Creates and contributes to internal resources (call library, cadence refinement, messaging templates)
  • Flags risks or gaps proactively and offers solutions
  • Drives continuous improvement without waiting for direction
  • Models professionalism in communication, documentation, and follow-through

Compensation:

$80,000 CAD base salary + $30,000 CAD target variable = $110,000 CAD OTE, with quarterly variable payouts tied to team quota attainment, program KPIs, and personal contribution. Accelerators apply above 110% team attainment. Full benefits package included.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

We work hard, grow fast, and celebrate the wins along the way. At Assemble, you’ll be part of a collaborative team that values progress, people, and purpose. Here’s what you can expect:

  • A competitive compensation package
  • A hybrid work model that blends time in our downtown Toronto office with the flexibility of working from home (3 days in Office)
  • A Flexible Paid Time Off Policy, 12 paid company holidays, and Summer Hours to help you recharge
  • Comprehensive group benefits including health, dental, and flexible spending accounts to support your well-being
  • Occasional opportunities to travel and experience our events in person
  • Real room to grow your career in a high-growth environment where your contributions matter

Excited about this role, but don't meet 100% of the expected qualifications listed above? We'd still love for you to apply!

The Company is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce where unique experiences are valued, and everyone has the opportunity to contribute. So, when applying to the Company, rest assured that your application is reviewed by a living, breathing human being and evaluated based on key competencies needed for success in the position.
