About the role
We’re looking for a Business Development Manager in the construction technology industry.
Our client is an emerging construction technology company backed by an established contractor. The business focuses on improving how construction operations are managed through modern technology platforms. This is an early stage, high ownership role focused on building pipeline from the ground up, generating new opportunities, and creating momentum in the market. The Business Development Manager will work directly with leadership to develop messaging, target accounts, and go to market approach while driving initial customer engagement, this role is remote and the person can be based anywhere in Canada.
Business Development Manager responsibilities: Generate new business opportunities through outbound outreach and industry engagement Build relationships with decision makers across construction, infrastructure, and related sectors Qualify opportunities and move them through early stage conversations Own and manage pipeline activity from first contact through qualified lead Work closely with leadership to refine messaging, targeting, and sales approach Represent the business at events, networking opportunities, and industry forums The successful candidate has: 3 to 5 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or pipeline generation Experience selling, supporting, or working within SaaS, construction technology, or other modern technology environments is required Proven ability to build pipeline through outreach and relationship building Strong communication skills and comfort engaging senior stakeholders Comfortable understanding and communicating technology solutions to non technical stakeholders Ability to work independently in an unstructured, early stage environment Compensation and benefits: Base salary in the range of $110,000 to $130,000 Commission tied to deal generation and conversion Share options with a four year vesting structure Full benefits including health, dental, life insurance, and disability coverage RRSP matching program Flexible vacation policy and additional time over the holidays Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
