About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Technical Sales Engineer to manage and grow our business across British Columbia. This role combines engineering expertise with business development, supporting customers in selecting and implementing engineered mechanical equipment solutions for steam and hot water systems. This position is ideal for a mechanical engineer or technologist who wants to apply their technical knowledge in a more dynamic, customer-facing role—while gaining exposure to a wide range of real-world applications and projects. You will work closely with consulting engineers, contractors, facility owners, and industrial end users to deliver high-quality technical solutions and drive long-term business growth.
Responsibilities Technical Sales & Engineering Support Review project specifications, drawings, and bid documents. Prepare equipment selections and quotations for steam and hot water systems. Recommend engineered solutions that meet performance requirements and applicable codes. Coordinate with manufacturers to ensure accurate application and system design. Provide technical support throughout design, bidding, and project execution. Business Development Identify and pursue new business opportunities across British Columbia. Develop and execute territory growth strategies. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of projects and opportunities. Represent the company at industry events, technical seminars, and client meetings. Client Relationship Management Build long-term relationships with consulting engineers, contractors, facility owners, and industrial clients. Deliver product presentations and technical training to customers. Act as a trusted technical advisor on system performance and optimization. Sales Operations & Reporting Maintain CRM records, forecasts, and opportunity tracking. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery. Provide regular updates on market trends, competitive activity, and territory performance.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline. P.Eng. or CET designation considered an asset. 3–7 years of experience in mechanical systems, HVAC, hydronics, boilers, steam systems, or industrial equipment. Experience with consulting engineers and contractors is preferred. Prior technical sales experience is an asset but not required. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Experience with equipment selection and application is preferred. Strong understanding of : steam and condensate systems, hydronic heating systems, boilers, heat exchangers, pumping systems, valves, controls, and system integration.

Reporting Structure & Territory Reports to: VP Western Canada Territory: British Columbia (province-wide) Travel: Regular travel within BC, semi regular travel to Calgary (Western Canada HQ), occasional travel for training and industry events
