Role Description The Director of Expansion is a contract, remote role responsible for driving the growth of Zaks & Co.’s portfolio ventures into new markets and segments. Day-to-day activities include identifying and evaluating expansion opportunities, conducting market and competitor analyses, and developing data-driven expansion plans. The role oversees cross-functional collaboration to execute go-to-market strategies, supports the setup of operational processes in new regions, and tracks performance metrics to refine expansion initiatives. This position also involves coordinating with leadership and stakeholders, managing project timelines, and ensuring that each expansion aligns with overall investment and business objectives. Qualifications Business Expansion and Planning skills to design, lead, and optimize growth initiatives. Analytical Skills and Market Research capabilities to evaluate opportunities and support data-driven decisions. Team Management experience to guide cross-functional teams and coordinate stakeholders during expansion projects. Proven experience in strategic growth, corporate development, or venture building roles. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers. Comfort working in a remote, contract capacity with high levels of autonomy and accountability. Background in finance, business, economics, or a related field; advanced degree or equivalent experience is an asset. Experience in startup, investment, or asset management environments is highly beneficial.
