THE OPPORTUNITY

We're hiring a Senior Paid Media Strategist to own the day-to-day strategic relationship with our paid clients — and the Google Ads, Microsoft/Bing Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, and emerging platform work that keeps them growing.

This is a client-facing, hands-on role. You'll manage a portfolio of 5-8 paid media accounts across education, medical, e-commerce, and our other verticals — running strategy, leading kickoffs, presenting results, and coordinating with analytics, creative, and technical resources to deliver work that drives real pipeline, not just impressions.

The paid media landscape is shifting faster than at any point in the last decade. Automation, AI bidding, and creative-driven performance are rewriting the rules on every major platform. Our clients need someone who can deliver efficient spend and scalable ROAS today while building toward what paid media looks like tomorrow — and explain it clearly to VPs and CMOs.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

Client Strategy & Relationships → Own the strategic relationship with 5-8 paid media clients: kickoffs, QBRs, monthly check-ins, escalations, and renewals → Translate Pantelope's paid media methodology across search, social, and emerging channels into account-specific strategies that drive qualified traffic, conversions, and revenue → Build and present roadmaps, audits, and results to senior client stakeholders (VPs, CMOs, founders) → Serve as the primary point of contact clients call when they need real thinking, not a status update

Hands-On Paid Media Execution → Run and optimize campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft/Bing Ads, Meta Ads (Facebook & Instagram), TikTok Ads, and other relevant platforms for each account → Own full-funnel paid strategy — from awareness to retargeting — including campaign architecture, audience segmentation, bidding strategy, and budget allocation → Stay hands-on with creative testing frameworks: brief performance creative, analyze results, and iterate based on what the data says → Build and maintain dashboards that connect ad spend to real business outcomes — pipeline, revenue, and acquisition cost — not vanity metrics → Stay current on platform changes, AI-driven automation (Smart Bidding, Advantage+, etc.), and emerging channels that could impact client performance

Account Growth → Surface and close expansion opportunities within your book — additional platforms, scope increases, and renewals → Partner with the CSO on new-business pitches when your paid media expertise is needed

Coordination & Quality → Coordinate with analytics, creative, and any specialist partners assigned to your accounts → Hold the quality bar on every deliverable that goes out under your name — no cookie-cutter playbooks

Cross-Channel Collaboration → Work tightly with SEO, analytics, and creative leads to deliver full-funnel results for your clients

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Must-Haves → 5+ years in paid media with significant client-facing experience — agency experience strongly preferred → Demonstrated track record of driving efficient ROAS, reducing acquisition costs, and scaling paid programs for clients — not just managing spend, but delivering results → Deep hands-on experience across Google Ads and Meta Ads; solid working knowledge of Microsoft/Bing Ads, LinkedIn Ads and TikTok Ads → Strong understanding of modern paid media fundamentals: campaign architecture, audience strategy, bidding and automation, landing page alignment, and attribution → Fluency with performance creative: you know what makes creative work in a paid context, how to brief it, and how to test and iterate based on data → Hands-on with the modern stack: Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, Microsoft Advertising, Google Analytics 4, and at least one attribution or reporting tool (e.g., Triple Whale, Northbeam, Rockerbox, or similar) → Strong client-facing presence: comfortable presenting to VPs and CMOs, defending strategy, and managing difficult conversations → AI-fluent: you understand how AI bidding and automation tools work across platforms, and you know when to trust them and when to override them → Excellent written and verbal communication

Nice-to-Haves → Ability to start within 2–3 weeks — we're filling this role on an accelerated timeline and candidates who can hit the ground running will be prioritized → Experience managing freelance or contractor creative partners → Familiarity with prompt engineering and AI creative tools (e.g., using AI for ad copy, creative concepting, or reporting) → Experience in education, medical, or e-commerce verticals

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

→ Base salary: $80 to 95k CAD/year → 15 days PTO (plus standard Canadian holidays) → 100% remote — work from anywhere
