Role Description GeoMate is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Business Development Manager to join our growing team. This full-time position is based in our Waterloo office and offers an exciting opportunity to help expand GeoMate's presence within the autonomous driving, transportation, geospatial, and mobility sectors. Working closely with the executive team, you will identify new business opportunities, build strategic partnerships, develop customer relationships, and support the commercialization of GeoMate's innovative technologies. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technology, building relationships, and helping bring innovative products to market. Key Responsibilities Identify and pursue new business opportunities across North America and international markets. Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders. Generate qualified sales leads and manage opportunities throughout the sales cycle. Coordinate customer meetings, product demonstrations, and technical presentations with the engineering team. Develop strategic partnerships with organizations in autonomous driving, transportation, geospatial technology, and related industries. Represent GeoMate at conferences, trade shows, networking events, and customer meetings. Work closely with the executive and engineering teams to understand customer requirements and market opportunities. Assist with proposals, quotations, grant opportunities, and strategic initiatives. Maintain accurate sales forecasts and customer records using CRM tools. Monitor industry trends, competitors, and emerging market opportunities. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Geography, or a related discipline. Minimum 3 years of experience in business development, enterprise sales, account management, or strategic partnerships. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Strong relationship-building and networking abilities. Self-motivated, organized, and results-oriented. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment. Willingness to travel within Canada, the United States, and internationally as required. Assets Experience working in autonomous driving, transportation, automotive, AI, geospatial technology, simulation, or enterprise software. Existing relationships with automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, engineering firms, government organizations, or technology companies. Experience with enterprise software or SaaS sales.
