National Sales Director, Canada

In this role, the National Sales Director acts as the strategic driver of commercial performance across a complex and diverse provincial healthcare landscape. The position leads national sales strategy and execution, builds and develops a high-performing, customer-focused sales organisation, and oversees key accounts and tender processes across Canada. The role translates global priorities into local action, partners cross-functionally to deliver customer value, and builds strong relationships with healthcare stakeholders at every level.
This is a mission-critical commercial leadership role, sitting at the heart of the organisation's growth strategy in the Canadian market.
You will operate as the strategic engine behind national sales performance, directly shaping how the business grows share, strengthens customer relationships, and navigates a complex, government-influenced healthcare environment.
Desirable Attributes & Experience
Experienced in leading and scaling commercial teams through periods of growth and transformation. Over 8 years of experience across sales, business development, or marketing, including 3+ years of people leadership managing large, geographically dispersed, or cross-functional teams. Proven background in a regulated healthcare setting, with direct experience in medical devices, pharmaceutical, healthcare sales, or diagnostics. Proven track record managing B2B relationships, distribution partners, strategic accounts, and indirect sales channels. Successful history of selling to and managing relationships with government healthcare organisations, public sector agencies, or procurement bodies at the federal, provincial, or regional level. Deep expertise navigating tender processes and provincial healthcare procurement, with a nuanced understanding of the commercial and regulatory demands unique to the Canadian market (preferred). Bilingual in French, with familiarity in CRM systems such as Salesforce and structured sales methodologies such as Strategic Selling (preferred).
