Mergers and Acquisitions Specialist
About the role
Sentinel Corporate Development (a practice of Wolfson Equity) sources off-market acquisitions for PE-backed consolidators, DSOs, and acquisitive platforms. We reach over a million business owners, we've supported 100+ closings from $800K to $96M, and our buyers pay us monthly retainers for proprietary deal flow.
The buy side is built. Now we're building the other half.
The role. You will own sell-side: helping business owners — dental practices first, other verticals as you grow it — run a real exit instead of answering a broker's cold call. You inherit warm supply. Our outreach engine talks to owners every day, and a meaningful share of them want to sell. Today those conversations convert at a fraction of what they should. Your job is to change that number, then build the desk around it.
This is a P&L, not a job description. You set your targets above our floor. You run your own pipeline. When your revenue justifies support, you hire it. We fund the tools, the data, and the air cover on big pitches. You run the desk.
Who this fits. Corp dev, BD, or M&A at a DSO, MSO, or roll-up platform — you know what kills deals in diligence and how a consolidator actually underwrites a practice
- Or: sell-side brokerage or M&A advisory, healthcare services preferred — you know how to win an owner's trust and hold a deal together to close
- Both backgrounds in one person is the profile we most want to meet
- You can walk us through deals you personally advanced — specifics, not adjectives
- You want to be paid on what you close, without a cap Seniority. We are structuring this for a senior operator who wants to run a desk. If you're earlier in your career but have real platform deal experience and can prove pattern recognition beyond your years, apply anyway — we'll adjust the structure, not the bar.
Compensation. Base salary plus an aggressive, uncapped percentage of collected success fees on your line, with escalating tiers — the more you close, the larger your share of each dollar. Multi-year and tail fees keep paying you. To be direct: this is not an equity role. It is a desk you own economically, funded by us, with no ceiling on the check.
Location. Remote. Toronto area a plus. North American deal coverage.
Apply at https://sentinelcorpdev.com/sell-side-lead.html with a short note on the deals you've done — what they were, what your role was, what almost killed them. Or email deals@sentinelcorpdev.com.
About Sentinel Corporate Development
Sentinel Corporate Development is the buy-side origination practice of Wolfson Equity. We source, qualify, and introduce off-market acquisition targets for private equity funds, DSOs, MSOs, veterinary consolidators, and acquisitive platforms — any sector, any geography.
The engine: 1,000+ business owners reached every day, in 7+ languages, across four continents, from a 10M+ record data platform — with humans making every call. The output: 3–5 qualified calls per partner every week, 1–3 LOIs per partner every month, and 4–10 closings per partner every year, from our pipeline alone.
A qualified call means every criterion met and the owner said yes. Nothing softer counts — which is why we put it in writing: 20+ qualified calls in your first 90 days, or your retainer back.
One target, one partner. Your name never travels without written approval. And no partner's identity, mandate, or terms is ever disclosed — the policy is the product.
Since 2020: 1,000,000+ owners reached · 5,000+ qualified calls · 100+ transactions closed ($800K–$96M) · 95%+ of targets unrepresented · $500M+ deployed alongside partners.
