Role Description The Sales Associate role is a full-time, on-site position based in Edmonton, AB. The Sales Associate will support customers by identifying product needs, preparing quotations, processing orders, and ensuring timely follow-up on inquiries. Daily activities include maintaining product and pricing knowledge, coordinating with internal teams for inventory and delivery status, and assisting with basic problem-solving related to orders and applications. The role also involves building and maintaining positive relationships with customers, supporting field sales activities, and contributing to sales targets through effective service and communication. The Sales Associate is expected to uphold BDI’s quality standards and customer service values in every interaction.
Qualifications Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships. Basic sales and order management capabilities, including quotation preparation, order entry, and follow-up. Comfort with computer systems, ERP tools, and standard office software for data entry and reporting. Interest in industrial products such as bearings, power transmission, motion control, and related components; technical aptitude is an asset. Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple customer requests and priorities. Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and respond proactively to customer needs. Previous experience in inside sales, customer service, or industrial distribution is beneficial. High school diploma required; post-secondary education in business, engineering technology, or a related field is an advantage.
