Our client is one of Canada's leading privately owned food manufacturing, with operations spanning multiple provinces and a reputation for quality, innovation, and long-standing customer partnerships. The company serves major retail, foodservice, and industrial customers across Canada and international markets through an integrated supply chain and a diverse portfolio of products.

As the organization continues its growth trajectory, it is seeking a strategic and commercially driven Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to join the Senior Leadership Team and play a pivotal role in shaping the company's next chapter of growth.

The Opportunity Reporting directly to the CEO, the Chief Commercial Officer will lead the organization's national commercial strategy, overseeing sales, customer relationships, pricing, market development, and innovation initiatives. The successful candidate will partner closely with the leadership team to drive profitable growth, strengthen customer partnerships, identify emerging market opportunities, and enhance the organization's commercial capabilities.

This role offers a unique opportunity to influence enterprise-wide strategy while leading a high-performing sales organization across multiple Canadian locations.

Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy that drives sustainable revenue and market share growth. Lead and inspire a geographically dispersed national sales organization, fostering a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and results. Build and strengthen strategic relationships with key customers, partners, and industry stakeholders. Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Product Development teams to align commercial objectives with operational capabilities. Drive pricing strategy, contract negotiations, and customer profitability initiatives. Monitor market dynamics, consumer trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities to inform strategic decision-making. Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities, channels, and growth segments. Champion innovation by leading the commercialization of new products from concept through market launch. Partner with marketing and brand teams to strengthen market positioning and customer engagement. Provide commercial insights, forecasting, and performance reporting to the Senior Leadership Team and Board as required. Represent the organization at industry events, customer meetings, conferences, and key stakeholder engagements. Foster continuous improvement in sales processes, customer experience, and commercial effectiveness.

Ideal Candidate Profile The successful candidate will be an accomplished commercial executive with a demonstrated track record of driving growth within complex consumer products or food manufacturing environments.

Qualifications & Experience Minimum 10+ years of progressive senior commercial, sales, or business leadership experience. Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience is essential. Proven experience managing strategic relationships with major grocery and retail customers. Strong understanding of sales strategy, category management, pricing, and customer development. Experience leading large, geographically distributed teams. Demonstrated success driving revenue growth, margin improvement, and market expansion. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or a related discipline; MBA considered an asset. Food manufacturing, protein, agricultural, or related industry experience is highly desirable.

Compensation A highly competitive executive compensation package is offered, including: Base salary: $300,000 - $350,000 Annual performance bonus opportunity of up to 60% Long-Term Incentive Plan (LTIP) Comprehensive executive benefits package
