About the role
We’re excited to share an opportunity for an existing vacancy as Outside Sales Representative. The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for growing sales of AGI products, equipment and services throughout the Ottawa area and surrounding Eastern Ontario territory.
This is a relationship-driven, field-based sales position suited to a motivated professional who enjoys developing new business, supporting existing customers and providing practical solutions to technical and operational challenges. The successful candidate will manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and needs assessment through quotation, negotiation and post-sale support.
Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Develop and execute a territory sales plan to increase revenue, profitability and market share across Ottawa and Eastern Ontario. Promote and sell AGI products, equipment, replacement parts and service solutions to new and existing customers. Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, referrals, networking and market research. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, dealers, distributors and other industry stakeholders. Meet with customers at their facilities to understand operational requirements, equipment challenges and future project needs. Recommend appropriate products and services based on customer applications, specifications, budgets and timelines. Manage the complete sales process, including lead generation, site visits, solution development, quotations, proposals, negotiations and closing. Prepare accurate quotations and proposals in collaboration with estimating, engineering, service and operations teams. Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide reliable forecasts, activity reports and territory updates. Develop account plans for key customers and identify opportunities to increase product and service penetration. Follow up on quotations, open opportunities and completed projects to support customer satisfaction and repeat business. Support the sale of aftermarket parts, maintenance programs, equipment upgrades and field service solutions. Mandatory Requirements: Minimum of 3 years of outside sales, territory management or business development experience. Demonstrated success developing new accounts and growing an existing customer base. Experience selling industrial equipment, agricultural equipment, material-handling systems, mechanical products, technical services or related solutions. Proven ability to manage a geographic territory and consistently achieve sales targets. Strong prospecting, relationship-building and account-management skills. Experience preparing quotations, proposals and commercial agreements. Strong understanding of pricing, margins and profitable sales growth. Ability to understand customer operations and recommend practical technical solutions. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and closing skills. Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a field-based position. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and customer priorities.
Salary Range: $90,000–$115,000 plus profit sharing
The total compensation package includes a competitive base salary and profit-sharing program designed to reward profitable territory growth, new account development and long-term customer success.
