Job Title: Commercial Account Manager (Small Business) Department: Sales and Commercial Lines Reports To: Sales & Commercial Lines Manager and Small Business Team Lead Compensation Range: $55,000 - $75,000 Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm (37.5 per week) Work Location: Fonthill, Ontario, Canada Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time Vacancy Status: Existing The Commercial Account Manager, with a focus on Small Business Accounts, is responsible for managing a dedicated book of small business clients, ensuring service excellence while also supporting new business growth. This role balances day-to-day client servicing with sales responsibilities, including handling new submissions, conducting renewal reviews, and managing remarkets. This individual plays a key role in client retention and growth by managing leads through the CRM, ensuring timely follow-ups, and delivering high-quality client experiences. Primary Responsibilities Manage a book of small business accounts, including all service requests, renewals, and remarkets. Oversee new business submissions, ensuring applications are complete and accurate. Conduct proactive renewal reviews, recommending appropriate coverage adjustments or additional limits as needed. Manage and update leads within the CRM to ensure accurate tracking of opportunities and pipeline activity. Provide day-to-day client servicing, handling questions, general inquiries, certificates, and endorsements. Complete remarkets as required to ensure competitive terms and client satisfaction. Support small business sales initiatives by responding to inbound leads, prospecting, and assisting in cross-sell opportunities. Partner with team members and leadership to ensure departmental goals for retention and growth are met
Required Skills and Qualifications Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism and integrity, with effective communication skills Works well within a team and independently Embodies great people skills to support overall team performance – patient, enthusiastic, and dedicated professional who leads by example Is detail oriented, organized and accurate Proficiency with brokerage management systems (BMS), CRM platforms, and other industry-related technology Minimum 1-3 years of insurance industry experience, preferably in a commercial lines role Active RIBO license in good standing CAIB designation is considered an asset
Other Requirements: A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between office locations as needed.
