The Membership Coordinator is the first real conversation most people have with Altea. You are the person who turns curiosity into commitment, who takes a prospect from their first inquiry through a tour, a conversation, and a decision to join. This role is about understanding what someone actually needs, connecting them to the right experience, and making sure the people already inside the club feel as valued as the day they joined.
If you are someone who finds energy in people, takes a no personally without taking it personally, and believes that the right conversation at the right moment can change someone's health for the better, this role was built for you.
WHAT YOU'LL DO

Convert Inbound Leads. Respond to inquiries quickly, book tours, and guide prospects through the Altea membership experience with genuine enthusiasm and zero pressure.

Drive Outbound Prospecting. Build your pipeline through community outreach, referral programs, local partnerships, and proactive follow up. You do not wait for leads to come to you.

Deliver Exceptional Tours. A tour at Altea is not a walkthrough. It is the first experience someone has with what will become part of their daily life. You make it feel that way.

Protect Retention. Membership renewals and at risk member outreach are part of your job. You notice when engagement drops and you do something about it before a cancellation request comes in.

Own Your Pipeline. You track your leads, your follow ups, and your conversions with discipline. Your pipeline is organized, current, and honest.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

1–3 years of experience in a sales, membership, or customer-facing role. fitness or hospitality experience is an asset

Demonstrated ability to convert leads and manage a sales pipeline with discipline and follow-through

Strong written and verbal communication skills. you are comfortable on the phone, in person, and over email

Experience with CRM platforms or membership management systems is an asset

A genuine interest in health, fitness, and wellness. you do not need to be an athlete, but you need to believe in what Altea offers

Valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C, maintained annually

Criminal Background Check required prior to commencement
WHAT YOU'LL EARN
This role is compensated at a level that reflects the standard we hold and the calibre of person we're looking for. All rates of pay are confidential. Beyond base, you'll receive a performance bonus tied to membership results, complimentary Altea membership and a Plus One, group benefits, and an extensive vacation package plus paid Flex days.
SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Your lead response time is fast, your tour conversion rate is strong, and your pipeline is never stale. Prospects feel informed and genuinely excited. not pressured. Members you've onboarded are engaged, retained, and referring people they care about. The Sales and Acquisition Manager trusts your pipeline because you keep it honest.
