Position Summary: Axalta is seeking a highly motivated Sales Representative to manage and expand our Building Products business throughout Canada. This individual will strengthen relationships with existing customers while identifying and developing new business opportunities within the Building Products market. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of industrial or wood coatings, excellent technical sales skills, and a proven ability to drive profitable growth. Working closely with Commercial, Technology, Customer Service, and Supply Chain teams, this individual will serve as a trusted advisor to customers by delivering innovative coating solutions and exceptional service. Work Location: This fully remote role requires a local presence in Canada, preferably Ontario or Québec, to allow for onsite visits at customer sites. Expected Compensation: We consider an individual’s qualifications, skillset, and experience to determine final salary. This role is eligible for benefits such as health insurance and paid time off. The expected compensation range for this position is $95,000 - $110,000 CAD annually. The actual offer will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, skillset, and geographic location. Key Responsibilities Manage and grow an established customer base while identifying and developing new business opportunities throughout the assigned territory. Build strong relationships with customers at all organizational levels, including executive leadership, operations, engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing. Develop strategic account plans that drive profitable sales growth and market share expansion. Provide technical sales support through product demonstrations, line trials, start-ups, troubleshooting, and ongoing account management. Recommend coating systems based on customer applications, manufacturing processes, and performance requirements. Conduct product and application training at customer facilities and Axalta training centers. Collaborate with Technology, Marketing, Customer Service, and Supply Chain teams to deliver best-in-class customer solutions. Utilize Salesforce CRM to manage opportunities, forecasts, customer activities, and sales pipeline. Monitor competitive activity and market trends to identify new growth opportunities. Achieve annual sales, profitability, and strategic growth objectives. Qualifications Bachelor's in Business, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience. Minimum five years of successful territory sales experience. Minimum five years of industrial coatings, wood coatings, chemical or related building products experience. Strong understanding of coating application methods and finishing equipment preferred. Proven ability to develop new business while growing existing strategic accounts. Excellent presentation, communication, and customer training skills. Experience using Salesforce or comparable CRM software. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office. French language proficiency is strongly preferred. Ability to travel approximately 50% throughout Canada. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple functions. Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
