JOB SUMMARY The Graphic Designer, Marketing & Communications is responsible for the creative conceptualization, design and production of print and digital marketing and communications assets that support Resource Development priorities during the 40th Anniversary of Rick Hansen’s Man In Motion World Tour. This includes a focus on stewardship reports and proposals for major donors and corporate partners as well as other donor engagement materials.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS Reporting to the Manager, Marketing & Communications, this position is dedicated to supporting Resource Development team and works closely with the Marketing Communications teams including close collaboration with the existing RHF Graphic Designer. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Graphic Design Design and produce Resource Development donor-centric materials during the 40th Anniversary of Rick Hansen’s Man In Motion World Tour, including Case for Support and related materials, Procure to Pay (P2P) support materials and Legacy brochure, with a focus on stewardship reports and proposals for mid-level, major donors, and corporate partners; Contribute with proactive, creative recommendations for donor-centric print and digital communications in alignment with RHF brand guidelines; Develop infographics, source photography, and accurately archive photos in the RHF digital asset management system; and Ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget by managing production schedules.

Accessible Communications Ensure all communications are accessible and meet universal design requirements; Maintain an up-to-date understanding of best practices in accessible design.

Production Lead pre-press production of materials, and liaise with printers / suppliers to oversee the printing / production processes including sourcing quotes, collaborating on appropriate materials, proofs, press checks and delivery; and Maintain positive relationships with printers and other external production partners. General Actively participate in cross-functional team meetings and contribute proactive suggestions with regards to creative communication concepts, look and feel and communication effectiveness and processes; and Ensure all communication assets are filed and archived efficiently. Perform other related duties in keeping with the purpose and accountabilities of the position. QUALIFICATIONS An equivalent combination of education, experience and skills/behaviours will be considered.

Education: University degree or diploma in Art Direction, Graphic Design or a related discipline.

Certification: None

Experience/Knowledge: Minimum 3 years of related experience in a print and digital design-related function; Demonstrated visual creativity with the integration of typographic, photographic, illustrative and graphic elements that have contributed to positive business results; Computer proficiency including MS Office. Experience using AI-enabled tools responsibly such as Copilot. Proficiency with Mac-based design applications for in-house production, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Lightroom, and Acrobat; Knowledge of graphic file formats, pre-press and print production methods; Knowledge of accessible communications design; Photography and video editing skills considered an asset; Understanding of fundraising-related communication design best practices in the nonprofit sector; and Knowledge of accessibility, disability inclusion, and the experiences of people with disabilities is considered an asset.
