As a Business Development Manager at Swoon, you’re not just filling roles—you’re building partnerships, creating real value for clients, and driving business growth from the ground up. What You’ll Be Doing This is a primarily hunter-focused role but not starting from zero. Own and drive new client acquisition through cold outreach, networking, and creative prospecting Build and manage a strong pipeline of opportunities across SMB and enterprise clients Step into and help grow existing MSAs and cold/warm accounts that have already been signed but need development Leverage existing relationships and dormant accounts as a starting point while building your own book of business Conduct outreach via calls, email, LinkedIn, events, and referrals Turn cold leads into long-term partnerships Negotiate contracts and staffing agreements Partner closely with recruiting teams to deliver top talent Use tools like LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, Bullhorn, and other BI platforms to stay ahead Stay active in the market—events, associations, and industry networking
What Success Looks Like Consistently generating new business while expanding and activating existing accounts Building a strong, sustainable book of business Becoming a trusted partner to hiring managers Driving revenue growth while delivering real value to clients
What We’re Looking For We’re open-minded on background—but mindset is everything. Ideal candidates will have: 3+ years of staffing sales experience A true hunter mentality—you enjoy going after new business, but can also build on existing opportunities Grit, resilience, and a high level of energy Competitive drive and motivation to earn (uncapped commission 💰) Confidence in cold outreach and building relationships from scratch Strong communication and professionalism
