The Opportunity - Associate Registrar, Student Recruitment & Admissions (Permanent, Full-time)

Olds College of Agriculture & Technology is seeking a collaborative and forward-thinking leader to join our team.

Reporting to the Registrar and Director, Enrolment Services, this position provides leadership and operational oversight for student recruitment, admissions, applicant conversion, and prospective student service delivery. The Associate Registrar plays a key role in advancing Strategic Enrolment Management and Marketing (SEMM) priorities by leading initiatives that support marketing, recruitment, enrolment growth, student access, service excellence, and learner success.

This role is responsible for guiding recruitment and admissions strategies, optimizing systems and processes, and ensuring prospective students receive responsive, accurate, and student-centred support from inquiry through enrolment.

A Strategic Enrolment Leader: A professional who understands the evolving post-secondary landscape and can align recruitment and admissions operations with institutional enrolment goals and SEMM priorities.

A Collaborative Relationship Builder: A leader who builds strong partnerships across academic and service areas and fosters a highly collaborative and service-oriented team culture.

A Data-Informed Decision Maker: An individual who uses recruitment, admissions, and conversion data to support planning, forecasting, continuous improvement, and evidence-based decision-making.

A Student-Centred Innovator: A leader who continuously seeks opportunities to improve the learner experience through process improvement, communication strategies, and technology-enabled service delivery.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Leading student marketing, recruitment and admissions operations in alignment with institutional enrolment priorities.
  • Developing and implementing annual recruitment and conversion strategies that support enrolment growth and learner diversity.
  • Providing leadership for admissions processes, applicant communications, and prospective student service delivery.
  • Leveraging systems and technology, including CRM and student information systems, to improve workflow efficiency and the student experience.
  • Monitoring recruitment and admissions trends, metrics, and KPIs to support planning and decision-making.
  • Enabling memorable campus visit experiences for students, their families and other influencers.
  • Building collaborative relationships with academic schools, service departments, secondary schools, and external partners.
  • Supervising, mentoring, and developing recruitment and admissions staff within a positive and inclusive team environment.

What You Bring to the Role

  • A university degree in business, education, communications, marketing, public administration, or a related field. A graduate degree is considered an asset.
  • Minimum five years of progressive experience in recruitment, admissions, enrolment management, or student services, preferably within a post-secondary environment.
  • Strong understanding of Strategic Enrolment Management principles and prospective student lifecycle management.
  • Experience with student information systems, CRM platforms, reporting tools, events management and digital recruitment strategies.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, relationship management, and project management skills.
  • A strong commitment to student success, service excellence, and continuous improvement.

This is an Administrative, Management and Exempt position.
