About the role

Company Description YLH Advisory Group (YLH) provides advisory services to organizations seeking access to government research and development (R&D) funding. The team is composed of technical and financial advisors with extensive experience helping companies secure SR&ED tax credits and various grants across multiple industries. Each senior consultant has completed hundreds of SR&ED claims, offering deep expertise in government programs that support innovation, international competitiveness, and job creation in Canada. YLH works with clients to plan and structure R&D projects in advance so that funding opportunities are considered from the outset. The firm takes a proactive, continuous approach to identifying funding sources and preparing claims to align application timing with clients’ business needs.

As a Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for finding and generating new business for YLH Advisory Group and closing sales. We are looking for experienced, professional people who are able to work independently.

Qualifications · A Bachelor’s degree or a College diploma in any field · Excellent communication skills (in-person and over the phone) · A minimum of 2 years of selling Government Grant/Funding consulting services to all spectrum clients. Prior work experience with a consulting firm is a definite asset. · Previous account management experience, preferred in the technology sector · A proven track record using a sales methodology to generate business leads, open doors, and manage the sales cycle to contract signature · Previous experience in SR&ED and/or government funding sales is an asset · Interested in learning about innovations in science and technology · Must be able to travel · Must have your own vehicle and a valid driver’s license · Working in a virtual and remote work environment.

Responsibilities · Selling business services to new clients (SR&ED, and potentially other government funding) · Cold-calling and pre-qualifying potential clients · Visiting client sites to establish a rapport and qualify the client · Prepare and close quotations and other agreements with clients · Pre-assess clients for program eligibility and claim size · Properly articulate the service we offer and the value that our company brings to the client · Hunting down the CEO’s or CFO’s · Quantifying the value of each prospect

Experience: outside sales: 2 years (required) Technology Sector: 2 years (preferred)
