The National Account Manager is responsible for driving revenue results primarily through new account acquisition and cements long-term market partnerships through the deployment of value-based, tailored service solutions. As the successful candidate, you will be self-motivated, have a keen business sense and focus on “adding value” to team, customer and company. You have experience selling both LTL & FTL Intermodal, Over-The-Road product offerings . Have a proven track record of exceeding quotas. Duties & Responsibilities: · Develop and execute strategic client solutions across the Vitran network · Achieve defined sales targets · Actively prospect new leads and design solutions for clients within the designated region · Manage existing portfolio of customers to increase share of wallet · Work in conjunction with operations team to launch and optimize both new and existing business · Increase sales revenue through new sales opportunities and organic growth of core client base · Build lasting partnerships with customers and act as a key ambassador of Vitran Requirements · Post-secondary education in business, sales, marketing, logistics or supply chain · A minimum of five (5) years of sales experience in Transportation (preferably Intermodal LTL/FTL) · A sales “hunter” mindset, balanced with effective account management skills · Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) · Knowledge of CRM (Salesforce) · Knowledge of market research, sales & negotiating principles · Excellent communication/presentation skills and the ability to build relationships · A strong business acumen · Enthusiastic and passionate · Ability to persevere and push forward in a challenging and ever-changing industry · Organizational and time-management skills COMPENSATION: We offer a competitive compensation package in conjunction with the opportunity to work with a team of accomplished professionals in a collaborative and stimulating environment.
