Role Description The Chief Business Officer (CBO) at Monad Labs will lead all business-facing functions, including strategy, partnerships, and revenue growth, in a full-time, remote role. This person will define and execute the company’s go-to-market strategy, working closely with the executive team to align product direction with market opportunities and ecosystem needs. Day to day, the CBO will identify and pursue strategic partnerships, manage key external relationships, and negotiate agreements with ecosystem partners, investors, and enterprise clients. The role includes building and leading high-performing business, BD, and marketing teams, establishing scalable processes, and defining metrics to measure business performance. The CBO will also collaborate with product and engineering leaders to shape the roadmap based on market feedback, conduct competitive and market analysis, and represent Monad Labs at industry events, conferences, and in media or community contexts as needed. Qualifications Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, market trends, and financial metrics to guide strategic decisions. Deep experience in finance, including budgeting, forecasting, capital allocation, and familiarity with fundraising and investor relations. Proven business development expertise, including sourcing, structuring, and closing partnerships in technology or related industries. Background in consulting or management consulting, with a track record of solving complex business problems and building scalable processes. Demonstrated leadership in senior or executive roles, with experience building and managing cross-functional teams in high-growth environments. Experience in blockchain, Web3, fintech, or infrastructure technology strongly preferred, with the ability to engage credibly with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills; comfortable representing the company externally. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is a plus. Comfort working in a remote, distributed team across time zones, with strong self-management, accountability, and collaboration skills.
