Our client, a rapidly growing Canadian food manufacturer, is seeking a Territory Sales Representative (Foodservice) to drive sales growth across the Golden Horseshoe. This role is ideal for a results-oriented sales professional with experience in the foodservice industry who enjoys building relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and working closely with distributor partners and restaurant operators.
Please note that current/very recent field or account sales experience within CPG / consumer packaged goods (and specifically within food of foodservice) is absolutely required for this role. There will be no exceptions for candidates coming from other industries.
Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue and growth targets throughout the Golden Horseshoe. Identify and secure new business opportunities with independent restaurants, regional and national chain accounts, and foodservice distributors. Build and strengthen relationships with distributor sales teams and key customers to drive market penetration and sales growth. Conduct regular business reviews with customers, identify growth opportunities, and deliver value-added solutions. Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to uncover new opportunities. Represent the organization at industry trade shows, customer events, and association meetings. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal sales, marketing, and product teams to execute commercial initiatives.
Qualifications Minimum 5 years of business development, territory sales, or account management experience, ideally within the foodservice, food manufacturing, or CPG sectors. Demonstrated success growing sales through distributors, restaurant operators, and strategic accounts. Strong relationship-building, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Strategic, self-motivated, and entrepreneurial with excellent organizational and time management abilities. Experience using CRM platforms and Microsoft Office. Culinary or chef experience is considered an asset. Marketing or social media experience and a second language are both considered assets. Must possess a valid driver's licence, have access to a vehicle, and be willing to travel extensively throughout the Golden Horseshoe.
