About the Role Biocon Canada is seeking a highly strategic and commercially driven leader to serve as Head of Trade, Corporate Accounts & Specialty Pharmacies. This role is responsible for developing and executing the national strategy for trade, distribution, corporate accounts, specialty pharmacy partnerships, and key customer channels to maximize access, patient impact, and sustainable growth across our biosimilars and specialty portfolio.

The successful candidate will lead the company's engagement with distributors, wholesalers, specialty pharmacies, buying groups, and other strategic retail accounts while working closely with Commercial, Market Access, PSP, Supply Chain, Finance, Regulatory, and Medical Affairs teams. The successful candidate will be a member of the Canadian Leadership Team and will report directly to the General Manager and Head of Biocon Canada

This role plays a critical leadership position in optimizing commercial execution, supporting launch excellence, enhancing customer partnerships, and ensuring operational effectiveness across the Canadian healthcare ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities Trade & Distribution Management Lead national trade strategy and oversight of distribution partnerships. Partner with Supply Chain and Finance to optimize distribution models, inventory management, service levels, and profitability. Evaluate opportunities to improve operational efficiency and enhance customer experience. Support business continuity planning and risk mitigation across the distribution network.

Strategic Account Leadership Develop and execute the national corporate account strategy aligned with Biocon Canada's growth objectives. Lead relationships with key corporate customers, specialty pharmacy networks, distributors, wholesalers, group purchasing organizations, and emerging healthcare partners. Identify and secure strategic partnerships that support portfolio growth and market expansion. Negotiate complex commercial agreements and long-term business partnerships.

Specialty Pharmacy Strategy & Execution Lead the specialty pharmacy strategy across all relevant therapeutic areas. Establish and maintain executive-level relationships with specialty pharmacy organizations. Drive channel performance through patient access optimization, service excellence, and collaborative business planning. Monitor specialty pharmacy performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve patient experience and business outcomes.

Launch Excellence & Commercial Execution Provide trade and specialty pharmacy leadership for new product launches and portfolio expansion initiatives. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure launch readiness across customers, channels, and partners. Support commercialization efforts through innovative customer solutions and channel strategies.

Cross-Functional Leadership Work closely with Market Access, PSP, Sales, Marketing, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Supply Chain, Legal, and Finance teams to develop integrated customer strategies. Act as a key member of the Canadian Commercial Leadership Team. Influence internal and external stakeholders to drive business objectives and execution excellence.

Financial & Business Management Own account-level business planning, revenue targets, and commercial performance metrics. Manage contract negotiations and financial evaluations to ensure strong return on investment. Drive disciplined resource allocation and budget management.

Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Healthcare Administration, or related field. Minimum 8+ years of progressive pharmaceutical distribution, and corporate account management experience. Demonstrated success leading strategic customer relationships and complex contract negotiations. Deep understanding of the Canadian pharmaceutical marketplace, including distribution, trade management and specialty pharmacy. Strong commercial and financial acumen. Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders internally and externally.

Preferred Bilingual (English / French) Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent). Experience launching specialty or biosimilar products in Canada. Established network within distributors, corporate accounts, specialty pharmacy, and healthcare channels.
