Location: Canada-Wide Territory (Home-Based/Field Position)
Department: Sales and Marketing
Salary: Starting at $125,000 Annually (Competitive salary commensurate with experience)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, day shift only (8.5 hours/day, 30-minute unpaid lunch)
Travel & Vehicle Support: Personal vehicle required; mileage and eligible business expenses reimbursed for work-related travel.

Work Arrangement: Field-based position requiring extensive travel throughout Canada and occasional travel to the United States. Position Overview
The Veterinary Technical Service Representative serves as a key technical and commercial resource supporting our portfolio of pharmaceutical products, feed additives, microbial solutions, and integrated animal health programs.
This hybrid technical and sales-focused role collaborates closely with veterinarians, nutritionists, feed mills, integrated livestock operations, and production managers within the poultry, beef, and swine industries. The successful candidate will provide technical consultation, product support, customer training, and business development activities focused on improving animal health, productivity, feed efficiency, and overall farm performance.
Key Responsibilities
Identify customer needs and provide tailored animal health and production solutions
Build and maintain strong relationships with veterinarians, nutritionists, feed mill managers, and livestock producers
Provide technical expertise regarding product applications, efficacy, dosage protocols, safety, and regulatory compliance
Conduct on-farm visits, technical presentations, product demonstrations, and field trials
Support customers with production challenges, including gut health, respiratory issues, enteric diseases, and feed efficiency optimization
Collaboration with the Director of Sales regarding forecasting, territory planning, and business development opportunities
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments within animal health and livestock production
Work collaboratively with internal departments, including Regulatory, R&D, Technical Services, and Marketing
Maintain accurate customer records and reporting through CRM systems
Represent the company professionally at industry meetings, conferences, and producer events
Required Skills & Abilities

Ability to effectively communicate complex scientific and technical information
Strong organizational and territory management skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Professional presentation and customer engagement skills
Proficiency with CRM software, Microsoft Office, and data analysis tools
Willingness and ability to travel extensively (50%+ travel requirement)
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (5-year abstract required)
Education & Experience
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree required
Minimum 5 years of experience in technical sales, account management, or technical field support within:
Animal health
Veterinary pharmaceuticals
Feed additives
Livestock nutrition
Strong knowledge of poultry, beef, and/or swine production systems
Experience within integrated livestock operations or veterinary support environments is considered an asset
Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Animal Science, Veterinary Science, Nutrition, Microbiology, Pharmacology, or related field considered an asset
Established industry network within livestock production or veterinary communities is considered an asset
