Role Description The Business Development Specialist role is a full-time hybrid position based in Edmonton, AB, with flexibility for some work from home. This role is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, generating qualified leads, and building strong relationships with prospective and existing clients. Day-to-day tasks include conducting market research, analyzing trends, and developing outreach strategies to promote K2 Networks’ managed IT services. The Business Development Specialist will coordinate and attend meetings, prepare proposals and presentations, and collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and technical teams to align solutions with client needs. The position also involves maintaining accurate records in CRM systems, providing responsive customer service, and contributing to the achievement of revenue and growth targets.

Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and Market Research capabilities to understand client needs, identify opportunities, and interpret industry trends. Candidates should possess excellent Communication abilities to present solutions clearly, prepare proposals, and build relationships with stakeholders. Candidates should possess Lead Generation experience, including prospecting, qualifying opportunities, and nurturing sales pipelines. Candidates should possess solid Customer Service skills to ensure a positive client experience and support long-term partnerships. Experience in B2B sales or business development within IT or technology services is highly beneficial. Familiarity with CRM tools and basic sales reporting is preferred. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment, managing priorities and deadlines. Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience, is an asset. Experience in an MSP environment is critical.

Pay is competitive and is based on experience. It consists of base and a competitive commission structure.
