The Role This is a dual-mandate, senior commercial role. You will own both the pursuit of new clients and the long-term growth of existing ones. You are equally at home closing a new engagement as you are sitting in a quarterly business review and identifying the next opportunity. You’ll work closely with our Managing Director, Vice President, Brand and Marketing Strategy, and the 5ve Network to bring the right solution to each client, translate their ambitions into scoped engagements, and ensure that what we sell reflects what we can deliver exceptionally well.

What You’ll OwnNew Business Development Build and manage a qualified pipeline of net-new prospects across target segments: scale-ups, mid-market brands, and lean enterprise marketing teams Lead end-to-end pursuit processes — from first conversation through discovery, proposal development, and close Develop outreach strategies and referral networks to generate consistent inbound and outbound leads Meet or exceed quarterly new revenue targets and pipeline KPIs Client Partnership & Growth Serve as the senior relationship owner for a portfolio of active clients Proactively identify expansion opportunities: new pods, additional services, and deeper integrations Drive client retention and satisfaction, reducing churn through regular strategic engagement Collaborate with Pod Leads and delivery teams to align on scope, resourcing, and client expectations Market Presence & Strategy Represent 5ve Collective in market through speaking engagements, events, LinkedIn, and community participation Feed market intelligence back into positioning, pitch materials, and service packaging Contribute to refining how we articulate our differentiated model

What You Bring

Experience 10+ years in a business development, account leadership, or client partner role at a creative, digital, or marketing services agency Proven track record of closing new business and growing existing accounts, with numbers to back it up Experience selling to VP- and C-suite marketing buyers Familiarity with flexible, embedded, or fractional service models is a strong asset Skills Consultative, needs-first selling — you diagnose before you pitch Strong storytelling, proposal writing, and presentation skills Comfortable across a broad service spectrum: brand strategy, digital, content, martech, and marketing ops Ability to scope and price engagements in collaboration with delivery leads Natural ability to network and build strong relationships Traits Relationship-first, not transactional; you play the long game Collaborative by nature; you stay engaged after the close Entrepreneurial and self-directed; you build process, not just follow it Comfortable with ambiguity; this is an early-stage, fast-moving agency

Compensation Competitive base salary plus performance-based commission, with accelerators for net-new clients and account expansion. Equity or profit-sharing available for the right candidate given the agency’s growth stage.
