Role Description
The Partnerships Lead is a full-time hybrid role based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada, with flexibility for some work from home. This role is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing strategic partnerships with organizations that can help grow Sparrow’s shared living ecosystem, such as housing providers, community organizations, and institutional partners. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting and qualifying partnership opportunities, conducting outreach, leading discovery and negotiations, and structuring win–win partnership agreements. The Partnerships Lead will collaborate closely with product, operations, and marketing teams to design partner programs, coordinate launches, and ensure partners have a seamless experience on the platform. The role also involves tracking partnership performance, analyzing data and feedback, and iterating on strategies to drive growth, impact, and long-term relationships.
Qualifications
Strong partnership development and relationship management skills, including experience in business development, account management, or strategic alliances. Proficiency in market research, prospecting, and pipeline management, with the ability to identify and prioritize high-impact partnership opportunities. Skills in negotiation, contract structuring, and stakeholder communication, with the capacity to represent Sparrow effectively to external partners. Experience collaborating cross-functionally with product, operations, and marketing teams to design, launch, and optimize partner initiatives. Comfort working with data and metrics to evaluate partnership performance, generate insights, and refine strategies. Background in housing, proptech, community development, or a related sector is an asset, as well as experience in early-stage startups. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong presentation abilities, and a high level of professionalism in external-facing interactions. Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment, with strong organizational skills, ownership mindset, and adaptability in a fast-moving setting. Post-secondary degree or equivalent experience in business, communications, urban studies, or a related field is preferred. Alignment with Sparrow’s mission to promote affordable, community
